"Well we gotta shake a leg before we run too late on our reservation." Dixon chuckled as he gave her hand a squeeze, heading towards the front door.
Outside, Griffith waited in the car at the curb, waiting to make sure Coco got into the house alright. Coco was standing at the door when Dixon finally answered.
Dixon explained that the kids were in bed and that she could check on them if they wanted an extra story, though he was doubtful. Emergency numbers were given, a few other things were explained, and after it was all said and done, Dixon went to the coat closet by the door and got his and Dana's jackets.
"We'll be back before it gets too late." He said to his sister, who was already setting her things down in the living room.
"Alright, just have fun. Griff said he'd pick me up when you got back so you don't have to drive me home." She said.
Dixon nodded in acknowledgement as he went to help Dana into her jacket.
"Don't hesitate to call us if there's an emergency or anything." He said. |

"Of course, anything for you guys. But, you know, my services don't come cheap." Coco teased before going to check on the kids. "See you later, have fun." She called over her shoulder.
Dixon chuckled and looked down at Dana.
"We ready to roll out, little mama?" He asked her as he proceeded to pull on his own jacket. |

"We'll get them a ton of korma then." Dixon chuckled as he ducked for the kiss. He was still smiling from the peck as he pulled away. He reached for Dana's hand again before turning to leave the house.
He helped Dana get into the car before getting in himself and driving them across town to the little restaurant. It was a bit out of the way and you wouldn't necessarily know it was there unless you were looking for it, but he knew that this was Dana's favorite place to get her fix. He parked the car and went to help Dana out.
"Hopefully they didn't give away our table I pulled out all the stops and got us the good table." Dixon teased. |

"Alright, well, you decided to have babies with me. You knew the risk." Dixon chuckled. He reached out to open the door for her.
Despite his joking tone, Dixon really had pulled out all the stops and had asked for a more private corner of the restaurant to be set aside for he and Dana. Once he explained his plan to the staff, they were happy to help and pulled out their own stops, going as far as lighting candles on the table and dusting the floor nearby with flower petals.
The host looked up from his podium and beamed when he saw the couple. He recognized Dixon immediately and proceeded to gesture towards the table with a sweep of his hand. |
