It'd been nearly seven months since Dixon and Dana found out that they were due for a little bundle of joy, and about five months since they found out that little bundle was actually two. Needless to say, the two of them were overjoyed at the news, albeit very cautious about that joy given their circumstance, but still, it was hard to not be over the moon about it.
The months came in a flash and Dana's stomach grew bigger and bigger, bringing Dixon so much excitement and happiness he could hardly even stand it. They were now just weeks away from their scheduled c-section and the whole family was working together to get everything squared away before the twins' arrival. But amidst all the preparations, Dixon had something special just for Dana up his sleeve.
Dixon was trying to get the kids put down before Coco could come over and watch the kids while he treated Dana to a night out, one sort of last hurrah.
"Dixie girl, are you going to come lay down so Dad can tuck you in?" He called as he headed towards the kids' room.
They really needed to start looking at other places that could accommodate their growing family. |

"Yesss, Dixie. And you know you're not supposed to be on the tv at this time." Dana called from where she was getting ready. |

"Ooh, Mama busted you, Dixie girl." Dixon lightly teased as he went to the living room to round up his eldest from her perch with a quick and playful scoop of his arms.
Meanwhile, Declan, always his mama's shadow, sat on the floor by her feet, quietly cooing to her or maybe himself.
"Mama, bed? Seep? Seep wiff?" He chirped (for sure) at her. |

Dixie squealed with a giggle. "Story time?" she asked, hopeful.
"I'm afraid not tonight, little man." Dana cooed back to him, petting his hair. "But Daddy and I will definitely read to you both tonight and give you a ton of cuddles!" |

"We only have time for one tonight, baby girl." Dixon said. "But I'll make it up to you with an extra one tomorrow for sure and maaaaaybe Daddy will get you a special dessert treat for you and bubby for tomorrow too."
Declan sadly pouted his lip, but didn't have the same flare for dramatics that his sister had. Instead, he sighed and gave a little nod of his head. |

"Kay, Mama." Declan nodded firmly and reached up for Dana's hand as it was offered to him. |
