It wasn't that Faye was too good to work, it wasn't that at all. She had worked before being a ward, simply under her own choice. But being forced to work under the hand of her kidnapper, under force, was another story. And Faye despised it.
She didn't mind the people she worked with or the people of the place but that damned man. He was infuriatingly interesting and caught her curiosity but she was still furious with him. While Ricardo had been a vile man, a vile king in all regards, this man had still held her against her will as some sort've ransom.
And perhaps it was against the ways but Faye was a very independent and strong willed person. If she had to fight, she was more than willing and if she needed to spit fire, she was even more willing.
Despite all of her temper and how much she despised her situation... she had to admit that she couldn't be absolutely terrible to Rudy, as he wasn't THAT terrible to her. And she had found herself a good hobby, being the 'healer' of the town with a few other women, taking care of the wounded and the sick, as well as helping wash the clothes of the soldiers and such, since she knew best how to get blood out of materials.
Which was exactly what she was handling, carrying clothes out to hang up on the rope outside to dry clothes she had just washed, humming under her breath. |

When Rudy first took Ricardo's ward from him, he had only anticipated keeping the woman captive until he gained enough leverage to have the upper hand against the other king, but time had passed. A great deal of time in fact. Rudy had expected some sort of retaliation or, in the best case scenario the bargaining he'd hoped for, but no such reaction ever came. And with that time, Rudy had admittedly become... accustomed to having the girl, Faye, around.
Even now, he was watching her closely from across the courtyard as she went to hang up the clothes she'd washed. He watched for a moment before going to approach, going to take the basket from her without word. |

| Faye jumped as he did, startled upon his appearance. She blinked before giving a slightly amused scoff, following him. "You know, it's rude to snatch things out of peoples hands." she stated. |
