Ricardo glanced at Faye. "You look pale."
Faye glanced at him. "Just tired, sire." she answered. She had this creeping feeling up her spine. |

| Rudy and his men moved swiftly through the hills and, thankfully, they reached a good spot ahead of the caravan where they were able to make quick work of cutting down a tree to block the pathway. Everyone promptly went to hiding in the shrubbery nearby to wait. |

| The men waited, shifting only very slightly when they heard the carriage making it's way. Guards and escorts walked outside of the carriage, keeping guard of the King and his Ward inside. |

The carriage stopped when one of the horses became uneasy. One of the men moved over to try and calm the beast.
"Why have we stopped?" Ricardo demanded. |
