A few weeks had passed since...everything, and though most of Noah's superficial wounds had healed, his heart and everything else had not.

He had been released from the hospital the day after his assault and into the care of his boyfriends. They tried hard to make things easy for him, making sure he ate, cleaning his studio, waking him up and sitting with him when the nightmares came. And though it was "nice" in its own way, it still didn't undo what had been done to him.

Ulrich had to return home for work, though he tried to put it off as long as he could, while Hadrian had opted to stay with Noah for a bit longer. At least until Noah decided what he was going to do.

It was a question that had been looming for a few weeks now: would he stay or go home? Before the incident, he would have dared anyone to pry the opportunity from his cold, dead fingers, but now, in the after of it all, he wasn't sure he wanted to stay. Unmotivated and feelings of unease made it hard for him to want to stay in California away from his boyfriends and family, let alone still attempt his schoolwork.

He was currently laying in quiet contemplation in bed, sheets and blankets still rumpled from whenever Hadrian had gotten up and ready for the day.

Hadrian gave a light tap on the door, eyes sore from rough sleep. He didn't sleep very heavily anymore, always wanting to make sure he could wake up as soon as Noah needed him. He pushed the door open gently and went to slip in, a muffin in one hand and some juice in the other. "Hey love."

"Mm, hey baby." Noah greeted, though he didn't move to sit up just yet.

"Hey. I have some apple juice and a blueberry muffin." Hadrian said, going over and gently sat on the side of the bed. "...Whats on your mind?" he asked, instantly concerned.

Noah shifted to accommodate Hadrian as he sat on the edge of the bed, but still remained laying even as he reached out to accept the muffin. He set it on the bed and began lightly picking at the paper wrapping.

"I don't know...mostly just about what...I'm supposed to do now." He admitted because it was Hadrian and out of all the people in the world, Hadrian and respectively Ulrich were the two people he trusted most in the world. He peeked up at his boyfriend. "I don't know what to do...going forward."

Hadrian gave a tiny frown and reached over to gently pluck at the hairs that were sticking up from his bedhead hair. "Mm, what do you want to do?"

"Honestly?" Noah looked peeked up at Hadrian. "I don't know...I don't want to do anything really." He admitted.

"Mm... mi amor, why don't you take a couple of months off and come home? Maybe a break at home will help you heal a bit and decide." Hadi said, petting his hair now.

Noah's brows pinched sadly. Of course he had entertained that very same idea more than once, but the idea of dropping everything he had worked for and going home was also disheartening in a way. Then again, if he stayed, would he really be up to the task of attempting to return to his normal routine without his boyfriends?

"Mm...maybe." Noah sighed before giving up on the muffin and shifting in the bed so he was scooted up close to Hadrian, his head practically in his lap. "I hate feeling like this. I hate feeling so...backed into a corner."

"I know love, I know. I'm so sorry, I wish I could do more." Hadrian admitted, continuing with his gentle fussing affection.

Noah sighed and closed his eyes as he allowed Hadrian's fussing.

"I don't think I will be able to make it out here...not alone." He said. "Maybe this program, this...opportunity wasn't meant to happen for me."

"Don't say that, mi amor... take some time to heal." Hadrian said, frowning as he leaned down to kiss his forehead.

Noah wanted to point out that what had happened to him would have never happened if he just stayed back home with Hadrian and Ulrich, but he also didn't want to "argue" that with Hadrian. Instead, he allowed the gentle affection and even went to wrap his arms around Hadrian's middle.

"Can you lay with me? Just for a bit. I know Ulrich said he wanted to facetime later, so just a bit before that." Noah asked, lightly tugging at the other man's frame.

"Of course, love. You don't have to ask me twice." Hadrian put gently little kisses all over his face and then scooted down to lay beside him.

Noah immediately wrapped his arms around Hadrian and though he was significantly bigger than his boyfriend, he curled himself up and looked impossibly small. He nestled his head into Hadrian's chest and breathed him in.

Initially, Noah had been worried that the assault would make him less vulnerable and affectionate to his boyfriends in particular, but he quickly found that it was the opposite for himself. He craved their attention and comfort. He found he could lean on them for just about everything from waking him up from his nightmares or making sure he was taken care of in general.

"Will we even have enough room in the apartment for all my stuff if I go back?" He mumbled into Hadrian's chest.
