Lucita sighed as she flopped down on her sofa, booting up her laptop on the table in front of her. She'd just gotten home from work and then going out with a friend afterwards to unwind a bit from being so tired and tense over work and school. It had been nice and something she needed, especially being so lonely without her family.

But now she was happy to just sit down and spend time, even if just through skype, with said little family and tell Cris all about her adventures with her new friend, figuring he'd be glad that she was reaching out to people more.

She ran her hand through her hair and reached over to her laptop, moving the mouse around and booting up Skype before going to call Cris' computer with the program, listening to the familiar ring.

Cris was currently playing with Alexandra on their bed as he was "taking a break" from his own studying for school. It was rough being a young father, admittedly, especially when he still had school and a part time job to hold down all while not having his daughter's likewise young mother around all the time to help him, but he made it work. He made it work for him, for Alexandra, and for Lucita. He wanted for Lu to succeed in everything she had wanted to succeed in before he and Alexandra came into the equation, and if that meant them all struggling together, so be it.

He glanced up to his laptop when he heard Skype and let out an exaggerated "gasp" as he looked to Alexandra, who only gurgled and kicked with a little smile on her face back at him.

"Escucha, mami. What is it? Do you know what that is?" He smiled, sitting up and collecting her up with him to get situated in front of the laptop. "I think that's your mama, bebe." He said as he answered the call, grin brightening when he saw Lucita. "Hey, my love."

Lucita smiled. "Hey, lover. Hey my little princess. How are you both?" she asked, pulling a pillow into her lap and hugging it tightly, as she usually did when she missed holding Alexandra so damn bad.

"We're good. I just went and picked Alexandra up from Abuelita Carla's not too long ago and now she's keeping me company while I study for a trig test on Thursday." Cris grinned, grabbing Alex's hand and giving it a little wave towards Lucita. "What are you up to, mami? Did you just get off?"

"No, I headed to the mall after work with a friend to just unwind a bit." Lucita admitted with a little smile. "It was nice. Didn't think about my freaking exams for once."

"That's nice." Cris smiled, admittedly a bit relieved. He knew how strung Lucita got when it came to school and work sometimes. "Who'd you go with?" He asked curiously.

"This new guy at work. Greg. He's pretty cool, he showed me some new shops I didn't even know existed at the mall." Lucita told him, resting her cheek on the pillow.

Cris couldn't help but furrow his brow a bit.

"Greg?" He repeated. Of course he was pretty confident about his relationship with Lucita in all aspects, this was...a new feeling welling up inside of him.

Lucita didn't notice, giving a nod. "Yeah! He's about our age. Real nice guy, he's been real helpful at work too."

Lucita paused at the tone. "What's wrong? You sound kinda odd." she admitted.

"It's nothing, mi amor, it's just..." Cris bit his lip, trying to find words that wouldn't spark conflict. That seemed hard though. "Well, I'm just a little jealous he gets to spend time with you and I can't." He admitted, giving a small chuckle to try and keep things "light".

Lucita chuckled slightly. "Oh, well... I wish it was you inside, mi amor. I'm just glad to have someone to hang out with. He thinks Alexandra is just the cutest, which she is."

"I'm glad too." Cris quirked a slight smile before glancing down and watching Alexandra coo at her mother on the screen.

Lucita smiled and reached out towards the screen. "Um... anyhow, he took me to this candle making place in the mall and I got gifts together for next christmas." she laughed. "He's really good at making them too, I was impressed."
