| "Oh...well...you know, just the usual stuff. We got up around six, Papa was awake, so I was able to leave her with him while I went for a run and showered. We had breakfast after that then I got her ready for the day before going to school. I had work after class, so I went in for a few hours and went and picked her up from abuelita Carla's since Mama and Papa had errands today. We've just been snuggling and studying since then." Cris explained. |

Alexandra bobbled her head to look up at Cris and smiled, gurgling and cooing up at him.
"Goodnight, Mami. We'll talk to you tomorrow." Cris said to Lucita then. |

| "Talk to you in the morning." Cris confirmed before going to hang up the skype call. As soon as the screen was cleared, he gave a sigh and grabbed up Alexandra before rotating to lay on his back with her on his chest. "This is tricky, isn't it, Alexa?" |

About a month and a half had passed and after midterms were wrapped up, Cris finally had a week-long break from school by the way of spring break. He hadn't told Lu, but he'd worked it out to take a little excursion to New York to visit her while he was on said break. He'd called Lucita's aunt and uncle and asked for help planning on the New York end and had everything worked out quick.
His parents dropped him and a very sleepy (and fussy) Alexandra off at the airport and after a tedious trip he'd made it to New York where he was picked up by some of Lucita's family members who took him to her apartment and let him in with a spare key to wait for her to return from work. He'd set up in the bedroom where he was now trying to put Alexandra down for a snooze as she'd been too fussy the entirety of the trip.
He rocked her lightly in his arms and fed her a bottle, humming quietly to her as they waited. |

"I pick up that movie the other day," Lucita told Greg as she went to unlock the door, rubbing at her face tiredly with her free hand. "But I have to talk to Cris and Alexa first." she warned.
"Oh, that's fine." Greg said vaguely, watching her as she unlocked the door and went to step in. "Do you have popcorn or should I run to the store on the corner?"
"I thiiiink I do?" Lucita answered, going to take off her jacket. |
