Mi Na was quiet for a moment, trying to stop her lips from trembling and her chest from shuddering nervously before she could speak.
“Y-you already know. She’s...she’s yours, Haneul.” Mi Na managed. |

| Tanner let out a shuddering breath, reaching up with one hand to rub his face in anxiety as he put his other hand on his side, glancing over towards Mi Na. "Were y-you going to tell me?" |

“I...I didn’t want you to feel like I was trying to trick you into coming back. I found out a few weeks after you left. I...I didn’t want you to think you had to come back f-for me.” She admitted. |

| Tanner shook his head a little in response, wishing she knew how badly Tanner missed her, just hours after leaving. "Oh." he said in a breath, hands shaking a little as he stared at Hei Ran. |

Mi Na glances over and could see Tanner’s hands. She bit at her lip and swallowed an anxious bud.
“I...we don’t need anything from you, Haneul. I won’t...I won’t force you to do anything you don’t want to do. If you...if you aren’t interested, I won’t ask you to be apart of her life, a-and if you aren’t sure...I won’t make you. I don’t want...I don’t want her to have someone up and leave her.” Mi Na explained. |

Mi Na nodded.
“That’s...that’s fair.” She said. She took a beat before going to reach into her purse. She pulled out her wallet and took out one of her updated business cards. “You don’t have to call or anything if you don’t want to, but...when you decide, this is my number. We live in Jamsil...um...if you ever want...um...” she quickly thrust the business card towards Tanner. “M-maybe we should go.” She sputtered, her nerves finally getting the better of her. |

| Tanner took the business card, heart hammering as he slowly nodded before glancing at her when she spoke about leaving. "I.. I.." he stammered them, trying to think straight before grabbing a card from his inner pocket and held it out. It was his business card. "I.. just.. just in case. O-okay?" |

Mi Na nodded, turning when she heard Hei Ran’s distinctly short footfalls. Hei Ran came up to her mother and quickly pointed towards the swings.
“Eomma, come push?” She likes to Tanner then. “Ajusshi, I can go real high. Watch?”
Mi Na frowned and went to crouch down.
“Hei Ran, Officer Haneul has to get back to work.” She explained, nodding.
“Oh... okay. Thank you, ajusshi for helping me find eomma.” Hei Ran said, giving an awkward little bow that was more of a bob of her head. |
