Cristobal knew from a very young age that his circumstance was different from other kids, including his own siblings, however, it wasn’t until he was much older that he realized that the circumstance was perhaps more controversial than interesting actually.
His dad and mom were high school sweethearts, but during a time of turbulence in their relationship they broke up. During this time not only did his mother find out she was pregnant with Cristobal’s sister, Anastasia, his dad busied himself by getting another girl, Cris’s birth mother, pregnant as well. Though it seemed to work out in the end, what with Cristobal’s mom unable to take care of him (as I imagine he’s been told) and Joel and Alexis reconciling, things were becoming very...tense at He Madison home.
Cris was a teenager now, and as many teenagers did, he was acting out more and more. He never did anything too bad, just stupid little things at school that usually only merited a call home, but today was different. Things had gotten out of hand when a classmate had pieced things together when he realized Cris and Anna were the same age, just mere days apart, and comments were made.
And hands were thrown.
Cris was sitting, fuming, in the hallway just outside of the principals office, his lip busted open and his cheek turning purple, while he waited for Alexis or Joel to show up to get him. |

| Alexis sighed as she hurried down the hallway to the principal office, obviously having been in the middle of cleaning (and taking care of a shit ton of kids), her hair pulled up messily and in some sloppy cleaning shirt and jeans. She pursed her lips tightly when she saw Cris, eyeing the marks as she marched over. "Cristobal." she said firmly. |

Cris looked up at Alexis and immediately looked away, arms folded over his chest as he sunk into the bench.
Upon hearing her, Principal Ross poked her head out of her office and looked to Alexis.
“Ah, Mrs. Madison, I’m glad you were able to make it over so quick.” She said, opening the door to let the two of them in, though Cris didn’t look like he was budging. |

Cris huffed and got up then, though he wore an indignant look on his face as he turned to enter the office.
Principal Ross went over to her desk and took a seat, gesturing for Alexis and Cris to do the same.
“Mrs. Madison, I’m afraid we’re going to have to suspend Cris for a few days. Between this and all the other infractions...well, we have no other choice.” She sighed.
Cris did not look sorry as he flopped into a chair. |

| Alexis pinched the bridge of her nose in stress and then ran her three middle fingers along the middle of her forehead as she let out a tight breath. "Yes of course, I understand, you've got to do what you have to do. What even happened?" she asked, giving Cris a very frustrated upset glance. |

| "You will talk because you're going to apologize." Alexis said, in a very firm parental 'mom' voice as she put her hand on her hip. "NOW." |

| "Well Cristobal, considering you don't want to tell us what happened, we don't know that. And unless you were physically defending yourself, you KNOW better than to get in a fight." Alexis said, shaking her head. "Apologize, right now. I don't care if you don't want to. I didn't want my son getting in a fist fight and to be called to find out he's been suspended from school." |
