"I...listen, I recently hired a private investigator to find my birth parents because I was in the system and it's a long story, but I was recently contacted by the investigator and he gave me Elijah's name and then he said I had a sister and gave me your information." He sputtered everything out at a hundred miles per hour, feeling more and more flustered as he continued. "I know this is super sudden and maybe I should have...I don't know, gone about it differently, but I...I've never had to do anything like this. I didn't know what to do." |
