"But...I do mean it, Ror. I love you. So...try and come around quick, huh?" He said, mostly trying to lighten the air n the room, but partially because he meant it. |

| Rory blushed then and smiled a bit more properly, still looking down at the rag as she messed with it before going back to the cleaning. "Always Mr. impatient." She joked lightly as well, though with a tone of affection. |

When Elliot was last contacted by the private investigator he hired to look for his birth parents, the last thing he expected was to ever hear from the man again. After all, he'd already dealt him the news that his birth mother had passed away and, at the time, he had no leads on his would be father.
So it was rather shocking to him when he received a rather short phone call from the PI and was told not only his father's name, but information on a sister. Though the investigator couldn't drum up current information regarding his father's location and what have you, he was able to get information on his sister, Harper Lee Fitz apparently, and he suggested with any luck she could fill in some blanks for him.
While this information was certainly welcome, Elliot took great care in jotting down Harper's information, it also came with a nerve wracking weightiness. He wanted to call and talk to...Jesus, his sister, but it felt so strange and almost unorthodox to make the phone call. After all, what if she didn't want to hear from him?
But what if she did? And what if she could answer his questions?
After fumbling with his phone and grappling with his anxiety, he dialed the number he was given and chewed at his lip in waiting. |

Harper sighed as she glanced up, hearing the phone go off as she juggled carrying baskets of clothes. "Shit.." she muttered, lips pursed. "Boys? Can one of you get the phone?" she called.
Lowell hopped up. "I will!" he chirped and went to run to answer the phone, climbing on their little stepping stool and grabbed the phone off the wall. "Hi!" |

"Um, hello, I'm...uh, I'm calling for Harper?" He said, a bit jittery from nerves. |

Harper sighed with a little chuckle. "Who is it, Lolo?"
"Uhm- who's this?" Lowell asked into the phone, biting at his lip a little. |

"Ell..iot." Lowell said carefully to his mother, who raised her eyebrow.
"I don't know an Elliot..." Harper muttered, mostly to herself and reached to take the phone, kissing Lowell's head. "Thank you baby boy, go back to your show now honey."
'Kay." Lowell chirped, running back off.
Harper sighed and put the phone to her ear. "Hi, this is Harper. Um may I ask why you're calling?" |

Elliot felt his heart jump in his chest, suddenly not sure what to say, not that he had a clear idea to begin with.

| Harper paused, fingers clenching on the phone a bit tighter. "Um.. that.. yes, I do.. who.. is asking?" she asked tensely, hoping this wasn't another trick of Scarlett and her step-fathers. |
