"Please, Harper, those two, get into trouble?" Griffith scoffed before going to leave the room. "I'll be back soon. If you want, we can order in tonight." He called over his shoulder.

"We'll see!" Harper called back and went to clean up the bedroom a little, stirring clear of Griffith's desk. "Lemme know when you find them!"

"Yeah, I will. Love you, punk." Griff hollered as he proceeded down the stairs and eventually exited.

It didn't take very long for Griffith to find Dixon and Darcy's trail, in fact, it hardly took any detective work whatsoever considering the boys only ever frequented Pete's Deli and the arcade, and after having checked out Pete's, that left the arcade. He stopped at the front counter where old Mister Joseph was perched and, after rousting the elderly man from a snooze, he was directed towards the back of the arcade where some of Dixon and Darcy's favorite games were.

He approached the back stealthily, mostly hoping to catch the boys in the act, although, as he got closer, he realized his stealth was wasted as nothing could be heard over their whooping and hollering as they played a two-person shooter game.

"GET SOME!" Dixon yelled.

"You stole my kill!" Darcy laughed, "reloading" the gun during a cutscene. "And my extra life!" he stated, totally oblivious to their current stalked state.

"You snooze you lose, besides, I needed it!" Dixon protested as he reloaded himself.

"Yeah, you really are when Harper finds out about this." Griffith said, staring unamused at the two boys, watching as Dixon tensed from behind.

Darcy quickly turned around to look and dropped the gun with a sharp hiss, reaching back to put his hand on his back. "Ow, fuck. Uh- hi.. Griffith..."

Griffith made a slight pained face on Darcy's behalf before approaching, shaking his head.

"What the fuck are you guys doing? You should be at physical therapy." He scolded, crouching down to Darcy's level. "Are you okay?" He asked.

Meanwhile, Dixon stood to the side, scuffing at the ground guiltily.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I.. don't be mad, okay? Please? I had a really really crappy day and I'm really sore and Dixon just took me out to cheer me up." Darcy made a slightly anxious face, rubbing at his back.

"I'm not..." Griffith sighed, glancing up to see Dixon's guilty little shuffle. "Listen, I'm not mad, but you...you gotta go to these things, Darce. And you've gotta get him there, Dixie. It's the only way you're going to get better, kid."

"We know, Griff, but...it's just been rough, especially for Darce, I just wanted to give him a break." Dixon said from between pursed lips.

Griffith stared, sighing when he saw Darcy's pitiful expression, his eyes traveled to Dixon, who wore a similar expression. He reached up and tousled his own hair a bit before giving a sigh.

"Alright...listen...I'll cover for you guys as much as I can, but only this once, okay?" He spoke then. "Darce, you gotta go to your appointment next week and Dixon, I expect you to take him. You guys can't lie like this, okay?"

"We won't and I will. I promise. It was just a really shitty day and I've been in a lot of pain." Darcy let out a slow breath. "Sorry, Griffith..."

"It's alright, kid. Just this once, though, okay?" Griff gave a small half smile before standing up, reaching over to tousle Darcy's hair a bit. He looked to Dixon, pointing at him. "Just this once."

"Yeah, just this once." Dixon repeated, smiling a little.

"Alright...well...since we're here...why don't we use the rest of your tokens before heading home?" He asked, noting how Dixon's sweater sagged at the pocket as it was full of tokens.

Darcy grinned and moved his wheelchair a little to make room for Griffith. "Here, you take over for now."

After Harper finished the dishes, she decided she'd go out and look for the boys too. Since Griffith hadn't called her yet, she figured he must've not found them yet and that was a little worrying but he could've gotten caught up by anything too.

She sighed as she headed down the street, heading up to the arcade. She headed inside and went to go up to the front counter to ask the man if he had seen her idiots but paused half way up to it when she heard three very familiar voices.

"...Aaand there are my idiots." Harper pursed her lips tightly and turned sharply on her heel, marching towards the source of the shouting, walking right up behind them. She crossed her arms, popping her hip to the side and waited for their little game to be done.

"C'mon, Dixie, you've gotta move faster than that!" Griffith laughed as he was in the midst of kicking his brother's ass at a game of Dance Dance Revolution.

"Hey, shut up, it's not my fault your more dexterous than me!" Dixon laughed in retaliation.
