| "I just...he...he looks so...fragile, Harp..." Dixon admitted as he eased into the room with Harper. He slowly made his way to the bedside and hovered over his friend. His hand shook as he reached out to brush away Darcy's har from his face. "K-Kasper dd this?" He asked. |

"As far as I know..." Harper's brows furrowed. "They didn't say anything about trauma from the concussion or anything. He's pretty doped up right now, morphine and other shit, I.. I guess." She clanked her tongue ring against her teeth hard, anxiously.
As if on cue, Darcy gave a little whimper and his face twitched into a furrow of pain or.. something. |

Harper hurried over to his other side quickly, reaching to touch his arm gently. "Baby boy, Darcy?"
Darcy whimpered again and his fingers gripped onto the blanket underneath them tightly.
"Darcy, Darce, shhh, it's okay. You're safe. You're sa-safe." Harper said quietly, running her hand along his arm to try and soothe him. "It's okay, me and Dixon are here, it's alright." |

| "S-should we get a doctor? Darce...do...are you hurt?" Dixon asked, although, he was sure of the answer already. He looked like hell, of course he'd hurt. He reached out and gathered up one of Darcy's hands in between both of his, offering some sort of physical solace despite his own quaking fingers. |

Harper frowned, going to respond to Dixon but Darcy opened his eyes quickly or well, as much as he could really, inhaling sharply.
"Darcy, Darcy, it's okay. Shhh it's alright." Harper said quickly when she saw the distressed look he had almost immediately. "You're at the hospital, you're okay."
Darcy looked between them, recognizing his sisters voice. "H-Harper?" he croaked, throat raw from everything.
"Yeah, baby. I'm right here. Got you safe. Dixon's here too, on your other side." Harper crooned, holding onto his other hand now. Darcy turned his head a little, staring at the blurr that was Dixon. |

Darcy gave a pained groan as he tried to sit up, still disoriented and panicky. "Di-Dixie.. Dixie.."
Harper shushed him gently and tried to get him to lay back down still. "Darcy, you're hurt real bad, just lay down. It's okay." she said quietly.
"No no.. n-nnnno. Lawson..Kasper.." Darcy said, breathing rapidly as he tried to get up again. |

Harper pursed her lips tightly and reached over to squeezed Dixon's hand that was on Darcy's, trying to soothe them both somehow. Darcy gave a tiny sob, pulling his hand away from Harper to cover his aching face, trembling.
"I'm so-sooorry.. I'm s-sorry." |

| Dixon decided to not try and ease Darcy's qualms, as he was sure he'd be unable to. He knew if he were in Darcy's shoes, he'd feel just as guilty and distressed by the situation. Instead, he held on tight to his best friend's hand and hunched over, resting his forehead against the bed's railing and let himself cry once again. |
