"I..I know I have to tell her, Harper, but...she just...she just had their baby and...I've gotta tell her he's gone. How do I do that? I-I barely can believe...that he's not coming back." Griffith said quietly, glancing down to Harper. "He's...gone."
Harper took a shaky breath and reached up to kiss his cheek gently, petting his hair with her free hand, though being careful of injuries. "I'm so sorry, Griff. I wish I could fix it. A-All of it." she said quietly.
Griff's lips tightened as he tried to suppress their trembling. He reached down with his good hand, gently grabbing at Harper's cheek as she leaned up to kiss at his cheek.
"I'd f-fix every single thing of it, if I could." Harper said quietly, forcing herself not to tremble as she ran her thumb against his temple gently. "I love you. I love you so much. I'm so sorry."
"Mm...I love you too." Griffith replied, forcing a small nod. He managed to compose himself before glancing passed Harper, looking to a heartbroken Dixon leaned up against the wall, eyes sad as he scuffed at the floor. "Take him to go see Darce, yeah? I'll...I'll handle this." He said.
Harper nodded slightly, petting his cheek gently and kissed the other again before going to reluctantly let him go after helping him in front of the door. "Come on, Dixie, lets go see Darcy." she said quietly.
Dixon nodded solemnly and pushed himself off the wall, eyes still downcast and his face turned down. He sniffled as he walked along with Harper, throwing the briefest of glances over at Griffith as he poised to knock on the door.
Griffith took a shaky breath before softly knocking at the door, hearing Flora utter something to the baby.
"Escucha, mija, escucha...I think that's your daddy." Flora crooned, which instantly sent a pang of hurt through Griffith's heart. "Come in!" Flora called eagerly, obviously hoping it was her husband... and she was abotu to be so let down.
Harper walked with Dixon, putting an arm around his shoulders and rubbing his upper arm gently as they walked. "Dixon... Darcy..." she started, hesitating and jaw trembling.
Dixon turns to look at Harper, noting how her jaw quaked like his had been all evening, knowing what that meant... Not good.
"How...how bad is he?" He managed to ask.

Griffith took a heavy breath, his chest aching as he did so, keeping him grounded in that moment...that God awful moment.
He eased the door open and let himself inside, watching as Flora turned to him, her baby in a little pink bundle in her arms. She wore an elated smile, obviously eager and yearning to show the little girl to her father, however, her smile quickly deflated when she saw Griffith standing there in all of his wounded glory.
"Griff, ay...what happened?" She asked, a bit frantic. Surely, if she hadn't just given birth, she would have gotten out of the bed and flown to Griffith to check him out. But she had just given birth, and she was confined to the bed... and Griffith was partially grateful for that.
At least she couldn't try and take care of him when he was about to do what he was about to do.
He eased forward, heading for the chair Dixon had apparently abandoned earlier. He moved stiffly to sit down, and when he did, he sat in silence for a few moments, looking at his hand clutching his IV cart. He couldn't bare to look at Flora...at least not right now.
"..Not good. He's just.. he's not good." Harper said quietly, hand tightening on Dixon's arm in attempt to not cry or shake too hard. She felt this was all her fault somehow. "Kasper tried... he tr-tried to kill him too."
Dixon's jaw shook, but he managed to fight back tears, feigning a small nod, biting back his emotions for Harper's sake.
"But...he...he's alive, right? And it's Darce... he'll be okay, Harper." Dixon tried to reassure.

"Some... stuff happened..." Griffith's voice trailed off when he heard Flora and Lawson's baby girl give a slight whine and a cry. God... Lawson would never even get to hear her. Griffith's hand tightened on his IV cart. "Flora...I don't...I don't know how to say this...Lawson...he..."
Harper glanced at him and nodded a little, trying to bottle it up. In the past she would've never cared. She would've shrugged things off and just made sure that Darcy was okay ans safe. People died everyday, it was a part of life but this was different because it affected people she grew to care about.
Harper squeezed him gently and forced it all down, clearing her throat. "It'll be okay. One way or another." she said, as reassuring as she could. She was just emotional because she was in shock, because she almost lost her little brother, because she hurt for Dixon and Griffith, because any of this happened.
By the hand of someone she trusted. Someone she had trusted with Darcy's life. There was still a thought in the back of her head, what if she'd been there? What if she had known? Could she had stopped Kasper? Would he have had killed her too?
Those were what if's though and they were not helpful. People she cared about needed help right then, rather it was just reassuring words or for her to do something and she needed a clear head to do that.
She took a deep breath and straightened her shoulders as they got to Darcy's door and knocked lightly before going to head in, running her fingers through her hair tiredly.
Dixon was stiff as Harper opened up the door and guided them in. He kept his gaze to the ground at first, scared to look up, and once he did, by God, he realized he had every reason to be scared.

Griffith struggled to speak as he explained to Flora what had happened, however, by some miracle, he managed to explain to her what had happened to him, to Darcy.
But then he had to explain to her that Lawson was gone.
And that's where he broke.
The words came out slow and broken, slipping into sobbing as he leaned forward to rest his forehead against the back of his white-knuckled hand clutching onto the cart. He let out a wheezy sob and squeezed his eyes shut.
"I'm sorry, Flor...I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." Griffith cried, only to be drowned out by the sound of Flora's horrified cries.
"No! No!" She wailed. "Not him! Not him! N-Not Lawson!"
Griffith continued to utter his apologies, continued to cry with her.
