This wasn't supposed to be how things went when Griffith and his brothers, Lawson and Dixon, made their way down to Faulkner with their pack. They were supposed to be getting away from the constant scrutiny of the Hunter populace, all of the hate crimes, and most of all, all of the slaughtering of their kinfolk, however, that wasn't how things were panning out evidently as Faulkner had as much of an anti-werewolf policy than their hometown did apparently.
Lawson had gotten his little family out of their beds for an early morning breakfast, along with almost all of their pack members as well. They were all piled into the back corner of the diner, earning glares and even frightened glances at their boisterous nature, but Griff didn't think that had anything to do with them being wolves, but rather he chalked it up to them being ANNOYING.
Still, nothing he said would change anything, after all, Lawson was their alpha and out of everyone, HE was probably the loudest.
Griffith sipped at his coffee and stared as his older brother initiated a round of arm wrestling, Dixon looking onward as "judge". Griff secretly wondered how long before they were going to be kicked out.
Or who would have the balls to kick them out. |

Harper sighed as she piled out of the truck with Kasper and some of the other hunters in his group. They had been on a trail of some werewolves for most of the night and decided they needed to go relax at their favorite diner (much to Darcy's disapproval, he had been adamant that Harper needed sleep, god damn it) and while Harper WAS tired, she was thankful to just be able to get some food and for it to be over with.
Kasper patted her shoulder firmly as they walked to head into the little diner. "Hey, you did good last night, tracking down that puppy. He probably would've killed hundreds on his own last night if we hadn't had gotten to him first."
Harper hummed in response and pushed his hand off her, pushing the front door of the diner open and heading in with the other guys, the bell on the door announcing their arrival. |

While the whole pack had probably heard the bell at the door, it wasn't that that had gotten their attention. No, what had gotten their attention was the stink of blood, wolf's blood, wafting in with a group of surly looking men.
Instantly, the mood had changed. Everyone in the pack's corner grew quiet and they all turned to look at the door, some snarling a bit. |

Kasper and the others immediately turned towards the corner, eyes narrowing and jaws clenching.
Kasper reached for his gun underneath his jacket but kept it there, for now. "Looks like some mutts are takin' over our spot, guys."
Harper stayed behind Kasper for the most part, crossing her arms. "There's kids here." she said stiffly. |

Lawson's wife, Flora, reached over to grab at her husband's arm, clinging tight. "Lawson, you smell-"
Lawson let out a low snarl, glaring at the hunters as they stepped in and their assumed leader reached under his jacket.
"That's fresh blood...smells like it's young too." He growled, reaching to squeeze her hand at his arm.
Griffith bit at his lip and looked towards the hunters, eyeballing them to see if they were going to make a move. |

"I suggest you and your fucking dogs get moving out of our diner, mutt." Kasper snapped towards Lawson, stepping closer with the group. "Else I'll show you why we smell like 'puppy blood'." |

"We have just as much a right to be here as you and your band of fucking killers." Lawson rumbled back, his eyes turning from their usual blue to gold, as they did whenever the wolf came forward. |

"I'm sure all these lovely people in here agree with me. Or do we need to all animal control?" Kasper hissed through clenched teeth, taking the gun off it's safety.
Harper frowned, hand reaching for her knife uneasily. |

Lawson instinctively threw up a hand in front of Flora, who had also wrapped her arms around her pregnant belly out of reflex.
"We don't want a fight, but we won't hesitate if you're going to initiate." Lawson growled.
"L-Lawson, c-c'mon." Dixon sputtered from his brother's other side.
Griffith, meanwhile, had taken to snarling as well, not liking the threat aimed at his pack, his family. |

Harper looked over quickly when she heard the snarling. "God da- how many are there of you in here?" she hissed.
Kasper narrowed his eyes. "Really? You wanna fight with that gal carryin' your puppy there?" |

"I'll always fight scum like you so she doesn't have to." Lawson growled.
"There's enough of us here for it to be a good idea for you not to initiate a fight." Griffith said, responding to the girl. |

"There's more of us on their fucking way, this is OUR diner." Harper eyed him, hand around the handle of her knife tight.
Kasper narrowed his eyes. "Leave. And I won't shoot the bitch." |

Lawson let out a roar at the threat and stood up, baring snarling fangs then. He shoved the table away from him, knocking it over onto it's side.
Meanwhile, Flora had reached over and grabbed Dixon's hand, yanking him along with her while several of the other pack members cleared a path behind them to let them out safely.
Griffith had stood up as well then, snarling as well. |

Harper moved to defend against Griffith, jaw clenched and face blank then.
"I said leave." Kasper said in a growl, scowling. |

"We have a right to be here." Griffith snapped his teeth at Harper.
While Lawson lumbered over the table, his skin crawling as he began to will on the change. |
