Although Dixon was clearly still hysterical over the loss of his brother, what with the wound so fresh, he looked outwardly relieved to hear about his friend. He'd lost his brother, but...at least Darcy was alive.
"C-Can I see him? Can we see him, Harper?" He asked, his voice almost strangled. |

Meanwhile, Griffith had apparently calmed himself down enough, or rather, had stopped sobbing long enough, to sit up in bed, quietly making to remove at least the oximeter before moving achingly to get to his feet. |

| "Thank you." Griffith nods, grabbing the IV tower he was hooked to and helping himself to his feet, wincing the whole way. If he hadn't just determinedly declared he wanted to tell Flora about the situation, he'd probably lay right back down. He was in more pain than he'd anticipated. |

| Harper stepped over quickly to help him, forcing her trembling to just die down into a shake for now. She had to focus and be calm for them, at least. "Just lean against me, I've got you." |

Griffith nodded, leaning graciously onto Harper.
Meanwhile, Dixon had pried himself from his perch and went to follow after Griffith and Harper, wiping at his eyes. He sincerely wished this was just a God-awful nightmare. |

Harper went to take Griffith to Flora's maternity room, feeling her head spin a little. She kept an arm around his waist to hold his weight for him mostly, especially while in the elevator and really... just to have him close. She was terrified that they were going to blame her somehow. Maybe that she should've been there, should've known, should've stopped it.
She felt like she should've.
She headed down the hallway with Griffith towards the room, taking a trembling breath. "Almost there." |

Griffith nodded, wheezing through the pain as they headed down the maternity wing, the sound of women and newborn infants ringing out through the halls, the room behind the door they stopped in front of no exception, Flora's room.
From inside, Griffith could hear the tiniest of cries from his newborn niece, along with Flora crooning to her in Spanish. Suddenly...he didn't know if he could do this. |
