While he knew his friend needed to rehabilitate physically, he also knew sometimes...well...he just needed to rehabilitate mentally. They could skip a day today, make it something more personally enlightening rather than physically.
With that in mind, Dixon began to push Darcy right a long.
"I think...I'm going to get The Knuckle Sandwich today." Dixon said, leaning on the back of the wheelchair. |

It wasn't long before the boys got to Pete's Deli and ordered up their sandwiches. Much to Dixon's dismay, Darcy had won their speed-eating challenge, but to BOTH of their dismay, they left the deli with achingly full bellies.
They made their way to the arcade and were greeted by Mister Joseph, the owner, and two handfuls of arcade tokens for each of them.
Ultimately, Dixon decided he was glad they'd decided to ditch physical therapy. It was nice to see Darcy at ease and grinning stupidly as per usual. |

"I beat your high score on Mortal Kombat, by the way." Darcy said as they moved onto the next game. "I can hardly see the screen and I still managed to beat that."
However, back home, Harper frowned as she hung up the phone after getting a call from the physical therapy place, informing her that Darcy and Dixon hadn't shown up. She hummed, tapping her fingers on the counter and grabbed her phone to call Dixon or Darcy to see just what they said. |
