“Of course. Thank you for coming...thank you for calling.” Mi Na said, but before she could turn to lead them to the kitchen and dining area, there was a knock on the door. “Ah, that must be dinner. Hei Ran, can you take him to the table?” She asked, watching as Hei Ran nodded eagerly and went over to Tanner. She grabbed at his hand, her fingers barely able to clasp around two of his.
“It’s this way.” She chirped. |

Hei Ran hummed and swung Tanner’s hand as she led them to the table. She pointed at a seat next to one with a booster that must have been meant for her.
“You can sit by me.” She told him. |

Hei Ran mimicked the gesture before going to clamber into her seat.
Meanwhile, Mi Na returned to the table with the bag in hand. She set it on the table with the rest of the sides.
“Do you still like spicy chicken?” She asked, already opening the container in the bag. |

Mi Na couldn’t help but smile a bit, glancing up at Tanner.

“Is that your aunt’s Kimchi?” She asked. |

| “Oh...okay.” Mi Na presses her lips together and took her hand back. Of course, that would be crossing the line. When they were still together, she would always make his plates for him, she even packed his lunch as often as their schedules allowed it. But things were different now. |
