Estella was inside, simpering to herself as she tried to console Finn who was beyond hysterics now as he wailed at the top of his lungs, his face beet red and little limbs shaking with frustration and perhaps anxiety. She kept glancing out the front window to make sure no one was coming. She felt her heart skip with relief when she saw Ian heading back towards the house so at least she knew he was alright.
"Shh shh shh, baby. Daddy's coming, hmm?" She crooned, her voice shaking. |

As soon as she heard him, Estella hurried over to the front door to meet Ian. She instantly began fussing over him, reaching up with a freed hand to turn over his face.
"O-oh my god, Ian. Are you okay?" She sputtered. |

Ian was settled in his and Estella's bedroom, getting Finn all dressed and ready for the day. They had their little dinner and Flora and Luis were coming by to have dinner with them and Harriet, who Ian had went the day before and retrieved so she could join them and stay the night, seeing as she was getting old and it was hard for her to drive much less make a whole dinner and neither Ian or Estella wanted her to be on her own for another holiday.
Ian smiled down at Finn. "Looking spiffy little man." he crooned. He figured Harriet was busy helping Estella finish things up last minute in the kitchen and get the table all set- something she demanded she be allowed to help with no matter her age and for them to not fuss so much so he figured he could take a few minutes with his son and get some cuddles in, in between getting him all set. |

Estella was glad to have Harriet's help, though she did some of the "harder" work herself. She enjoyed the company and liked listening to Harriet tell her stories or give her the occasional tip about how to cook a proper Thanksgiving dinner. She was able to finish much faster than she would have on her own, but things were still cutting it close when she excused herself to go get changed into something a little more formal herself.
She smiled as she came up on the room, hearing Finn chirping and cooing at his father, always happy as long as Ian was around. She poked her head in and gave a little knock.
"Are we all decent?" She joked before giving a little gasp when she saw Finn in the outfit Harriet had bought for him. "Look at my bebe! So handsome!" She praised. |

"Do you still need to do anything to get ready?" She looked up to Ian before giving him a flirty little smirk. "Not that you need any fixing up ever, handsome." |
