Estella smiled up at Ian as he entered the nursery. She stretched a hand out towards him, puckering her lips for a kiss.
"Thank you, Papa." She said. |

Ian hurried over to give her the peck on the lips she desired. "How're you and bean today?" he asked, putting a hand on the side of her belly. |

“We’ve been good. We ate breakfast with sissy and watched some TV together. I started putting some things away in here while Mags was distracted, but I got tired so I’ve just been resting in here for a bit.” Estella explained, placing her hand on Ian’s so she could move it to the fluttering little kicks at the top of her belly. “How was work?” She asked him. |

"It was good. Worked on an old Firebyrd." Ian said, petting her belly gently before pressing a gentle peck to it. "I'm gonna shower, then why don't you nap while I play with Mags? We can start dinner when the kids get home from school." |

"I'll be alright, I've rested enough. Besides, the boys should be coming home soon. Maybe me and Mags can walk down to the bus stop to collect them while you shower." Estella said, making grabby hands for Ian to help her back up. She wasn't as big as she was when she was pregnant with Finn and their middle son, Frankie, but she was big enough her stomach was an obstacle she had to navigate. |

Ian gently helped her to her feet. "You sure?" Ian asked, kissing her forehead. |

"Mm, I'm sure. You can distract the kids while I cook dinner later instead." Estella teased before making her way to exit the nursery. "I didn't have the chance to fold laundry, but the basket in the bedroom has some fresh towels in it. I'll go get Mags ready and head out to meet the boys." |

"Mm, okay. Leave the laundry, I'll fold it while we watch tv before bed." Ian said with a yawn, not sure he'd stay awake that long but he was determined to try as he followed Estella out. |

"We'll see about that." Estella laughed as she noted Ian's yawn. The laundry could wait as far as Estella was concerned. If Ian was tired, she'd want him to sleep instead. |

Ian laughed. "Be careful, love." he said, kissing her cheek before going to go get a clean change of clothes and towel. |

"We will be, we will be." Estella leaned into the kiss, squishing her cheek to his lips before they parted and she went to get their daughter ready for the brief outing.
The bus stop was only two blocks up the street from their home, which was nice because it meant that Estella and Ian were able to walk their boys to the bus stop every morning and also was close enough to home that Estella was comfortable letting the boys walk home on their own. It was still nice, however, to go and meet them every once in awhile.
They had long since moved out of their little starter home and had settled in a family neighborhood not too far from where Estella's uncle's family lived. It was a nice little neighborhood, one that looked almost like the ones on TV with the friendly neighbors walking their dogs and kids riding around on their bikes totally carefree. Estella walked along the sidewalk with Magdelene trotting just a few paces ahead, a stuffed elephant dragging along at her side. |

Renaldo had been staking out the house for the past couple of weeks, watching their patterns and learning their schedules. He knew it was about time for someone to go pick up their kids at the bus stop, and sure enough, there was Ian's gal and little girl.
He kept a safe distance between them as he followed them down the street, playing on his phone to seem distracted and inconspicuous as he could. He had borrowed his buddy's dog to walk along side him, some old hound. His boss had said do what it takes to shake 'em up, make sure they know its serious that he wants his money that Kasper owed them. |

Estella let out an exasperated sigh as Magdalene suddenly shot off with a loud squeal when the school bus came into view in the distance.
"Mags, slow down! Wait for me!" She hollered after the little girl, clucking her tongue when she slowed down but did not seem like she was stopping. |

Renaldo was catching up now, figuring he could seem like an uncle or something picking up a kid. He gave a light laugh when he saw. "Kids, right?" he commented, the hound giving a boof. |

Estella glanced over at the stranger and let out a little puff of laughter. It had been so long since there was any real threat to her family, so she didn't feel any real malice in a man approaching her especially in broad daylight in their little neighborhood.
"Tell me about it. She keeps me on my toes, that's for sure." Estella agreed with the man. |
