Darcy scuffed his feet against the floor, hands shoved in his pockets and shoulders bunched up as he stood beside Coco. They were waiting for Coco's new family to come and get her, since apparently everything was finalized and he was here to see her off. They had gotten pretty close since being in the home group together and god, really, Darcy didn't think it was fucking fair.
He was always the one left behind, he was always the one hurting, he was always the one lonely and alone. But despite all that, he was happy for Coco too. "You excited?" he asked, glancing over at the little blonde girl. |

Coco scuffled her feet against the floor, fidgeting with the strap on her bag as she stood.
"Yeah, but...I'm nervous too." She admitted with a little purse of her lips. It was true, she knew she was going to a safe home, reunited with what was left of her family, but there were still leftover insecurities and worries from her previous experiences. She glanced up at Darcy. "You're still gonna call and stuff...right?" She asked, a bit sad to be leaving her one confidant from the group home.
She wished he could come with her. |

| "Well, yeah, of course. I'm gonna need my ray of sunshine sometimes while I'm still stuck." Darcy gave a little smile and then reached over, nudging her chin gently and affectionately. "You're gonna be fine, Coco Beans. You're gonna be with your brothers again, right?" |

| Darcy gave a bit of a laugh and reached to tickle her sides playfully. "What? Stop what, huh?" he said playfully and paused when he heard a car engine. |

Coco refrained from asking aloud, knowing that Darcy couldn't just leave. She gave a little nod at his offer, however.

| Darcy squeezed back reassuringly, going to open the door for her, feeling rather depressed about the whole situation. He didn't want to be alone again. "You're gonna have to tell me about everything when you call again, yeah?" |
