| Coco sniffed back her tears as best as she could, settling onto Darcy as he carried her out. She reached up to rub at her face, trying to whisk away her tears. |

Dixon practically came flopping out of the car, eager to see his sister again after having been separated for so long, meanwhile, Griffith was hurrying around the car to open the passenger door to help Harper out in all of her pregnant glory.
Coco looked over, watching as Dixon excitedly waved at her, his entire face lit up. She forced a little smile and waved back before burying her face into Darcy's shoulder, clinging onto him. |

"That's your brother, right?" Darcy murmured, rubbing her back and giving her a little squeeze. "You're gonna be okay, Coco, promise. I won't let anything happen. I'll call you every day before bed, no matter where I am and no matter what's said."
Harper got out with Griffith's help, giving a tired little sigh. "Oof.. thank you, baby." |

"Promise?" Coco mumbled into his shirt.
"No problem, Harp. Can't imagine you'd be able to get out of the car with your tummy being that big anyhow." Griffith grinned as he reached down to stroke at Harper's stomach. |

"I swear it." Darcy nodded, bouncing her gently. "Go say hi, Sunshine, it's okay. He looks really really excited to see you."
Harper chuckled a bit. "I already feel like a whale." she sighed, glancing over to the boy walking up with presumably Coco. |

Coco gave a little nod, sniffling again, before trying to ease herself down from Darcy's grasp.
"Nah, no whale is as beautiful as you." Griffith grinned as he looked up, watching Coco part from the boy, albeit hesitantly. |

Darcy put her down carefully, looking reluctant to release her to the new family. He glanced up, eyeing Dixon and then Griffith and then the woman over his shoulder, stomach sinking after a moment of staring at her.
God, he knew her.
He fucking knew her.
It was Harper.
Harper made a face. "Mm, don't know about that. Come on, lets go talk to her, she looks nervous." |

Coco hesitantly shuffled over to Dixon first, as he was the one to meet her halfway. He crouched down to be at her level, his face alight with joy. In his arms he carried a little sign with poor penmanship reading "Welcome Home, Coco!"
"Hey, Coco, do you remember me? I'm Dixie." He said, grinning ear to hear as he spoke to his sister.
Griffith nodded at Harper's suggestion before heading over to meet Coco as well. |

Darcy held his breath to keep himself from totally hyperventilating as he watched Harper and Griffith make their way over as well. Surely, she'd see him and say or do something right? Surely she was looking for him, even if he'd lost hope of that years ago... right?
Harper followed Griffith in her pregnant waddle, tired and totally focused on the situation at hand. |

| "I...um...kinda." Coco flushed at the attention. She looked back at Darcy, hoping for reassurance, but found him in a bit of...a nervous sort of trance. She furrowed her brows. "Darcy?" She chirped at him. |

| Darcy forced his eyes away from Harper and Griffith when he heard Coco's little voice, feeling totally sick. Harper glanced his way at one point and didn't even acknowledge him, really. "Y.. yeah?" he said, trying to force himself to sound normal for Coco's sake. |

Darcy cleared his throat and crouched down to her level. "Yeah, yeah, Coco Beans, I'm fine. Sorry. They just look like a really awesome family, I'm really ha-happy for you." |
