Coco smiled up at Darcy, craning to collect an actual kiss from him before a nurse stepped over to collect up the sleeping baby to get her measured and cleaned up.
It didn't take long for her to be returned, but when she was, she was fresh and bundled up, topped off with a cap even. She was placed back in Coco's arms, but Coco looked up to Darcy.
"Do you want to hold her?" She asked. |

| Darcy hastily sat down with a huge grin, reaching to take her from Coco carefully, his eyes wide and so adoring as he looked down at their little baby. "Hi sweetheart, hi little Haleigh..." he crooned quietly, reaching to pet his finger against her cheek gently. |

Coco rested on her side and watched with an affectionate gaze as Darcy cradled their little girl, crooning to her.
"You're gonna be a good daddy." She said quietly. |

It'd been about a week since little Haleigh's arrival in the Hunt-Fitz home and after that week, Coco felt that she could confidently say she was getting the swing of things. While, of course, every night was restless due to Haleigh's needs, Coco and Darcy both were rested enough due to alternating who got up with the baby when. And while still very much new to the parenting game, Coco felt like she was doing quite well adjusting to motherhood.
Currently, she was leaning back on the couch, resting with Haleigh guzzling away as she did. She idly ran her hand up and down the baby's back, listening to her soft little grunts and wheezes as she ate. Haleigh had been napping earlier while Coco cleaned up the house for an anticipated visit from Griffith and Harper. Towards the tail end of the cleaning, Haleigh and woken up and demanded a to be held and fed in the way of high pitched squeaking and simpering.
So there they were, waiting for Harper and Griff to show up.
"Are you excited to meet your Auntie and Uncle, baby?" Coco asked, earning only steady suckles. |

| Darcy scrubbed a towel through his hair as he came into the living room, freshly showered and napped. "Harper texted me while I was in the shower, said they were about thirty minutes out so they should be here any time now." he said. |

| "Good, maybe Harper can burp her and maybe, just maybe, she can throw up on someone else who isn't Momma or Daddy." Coco joked as she looked up at Darcy. She reached out for him, gesturing for him to come over with a wave of her hand. |

| "Tell me about it." Coco laughed, reaching over to run her fingers through Darcy's hair then. "The other night when I got up to feed her, she ate and ate and ate, then, when I went to burp her...she threw it all up in my hair." Coco shook her head, glancing down when she felt Haleigh pull off with a small cry. "Oh so embarrassed, so embarrassed, I'm sorry." Coco crooned. |

Coco smiled as she watched Haleigh instantly calm at Darcy's touch and stopped crying completely.
"Daddy's got that magic touch, huh?" Coco laughed as she moved her free hand to pull her shirt and bra back up. She moved to rest Haleigh better on her chest and lightly pat at her back, pausing only for a second when she heard a brisk knock at the door. "I bet that's them." Coco smiled, clearly lighting up. She'd missed Harper and Griffith and was more than pleased that they were coming to visit them and the baby. |
