"Kay!" Darcy called, scooping the cat back up close as he closed up his bottle of water that he had given to her to drink from. "See you at home, Dixie. Rematch on CoD, alright?" he said, pushing the wheelchair back so he could turn around.
Harper smiled and went to head back over to the basket to pack back up. |

"Yeah, sounds good! Later, Darce!" Dixon grinned, going back to finishing the bit of sandwich he had left.
"Ey, Dixon, make sure you lock up when you and Harper leave, and you carry everything for her, alright?" Griffith advised, earning a messy thumbs-up from his brother. He laughed a bit and turned to the door, going over and holding it open for Darcy. |

Darcy nodded to Griffith and pushed himself out, careful to make sure the cat didn't get jolted. "Pretty girl, we're gonna go get you all checked out, kay?" he crooned to the cat, earning a mew.
Harper smiled, shaking her head and started to pack up the basket, rubbing her stomach with one hand. |

Griffith tried not to make a face at the way Darcy had already, evidently, grown to attached. If the cat wasn't healthy, he certainly didn't want to bring it home, he also didn't want to hurt Darcy's feelings by telling him they couldn't either.
"Hey, Harp, is there anything left I could eat when we got home?" Dixon asked as he clambered to his feet, trotting over towards Harper then. |

Darcy pushed himself with one hand and used the other to rub her ears and comfort her, though she was perfectly happy in his lap. "Thanks for giving her this chance at least, Griff."
"Sure, kiddo. I think there's another ham or PB&J in here." Harper said, looking over at him as she closed up the basket. |

"Mm, it's nothing, kid, but just remember...if she's not clean...we can't keep her, not with your sister being pregnant." Griffith repeated, heading over towards the car he, Darcy, and Dixon had all ridden down in. He walked over to the passenger's side and opened the door and waited for Darcy to come over so he could help him in.
"Fantastic! I'll eat those when we get to the house!" Dixon said, making grabby hands for the basket. |

Griffith stood poised to help Darcy if he required it.
"Yeah, yeah! Ahm..." Darcy tapped his chin thoughtfully as he made his way towards the back office to lock up there first. "Can we make porkchops with potatoes?" He asked, going to lock up those doors first. He emerged and gestured for Harper and him to exit the front. "I mean, if that's okay with the buns." He said, reaching out to give Harper's stomach a customary pat. |

Darcy got in and gave him a thumbs up before going to get buckled and get the cat settled back in his lap after adjusting his legs. "I'm good."
Harper followed him with a chuckle. "I think anything is okay with the buns." she said, shaking her head. |
