| "He helped me and Darcy out of a tight spot, before I started uh, working with Kasper. Needed a ride into town. Didn't really talk much but he took care of us and let us crash the night." Harper explained, messing with one of her earrings. "Haven't really spoken to him much since but he just randomly called me up tonight and told me to come over so I kinda figured, yknow, why not." she shrugged and went to finish her drink. |

Griffith gave a small smile.
"Whenever he's done doing Peace Piper things and notices you're here, I'm sure he'll be pretty stoked." Griff said, which, he was one hundred percent sure he was right. Peace Piper might've been desperately oblivious, he was a good guy and a people lover, which was probably why he had so many friends. "So...how long have you and your brother been living here then?" Griff asked then, taking a drink of his beer. |

| "Oh, uh, no." Griffith fidgeted with his beer bottle a bit, briefly debating whether or not to change subject, lie, or simply roll with it. Ultimately, he decided to roll with it, after all, it wasn't as if there was any "dirt" that could be extracted from his personal history. "Me and Dixie moved here about seven years ago to live with Lawson after our...well...our parents died." He paused a moment, licking his lips. It'd been awhile since he'd spoken so openly with someone who WASN'T his brothers. "He was only nineteen when it happened, but somehow, against all odds, he was able to get custody of us, keep us out of the system or whatever." His hand idly went to his wrist, rubbing his thumb over the fabric of the sweater sleeve covering his tattoo. |

Part of Griffith wanted to ask what she and Darcy were running from, but much like Harper's respect for his privacy, he didn't want to pry into her past any farther than she was willing to let out openly. So, instead of interrogate, he gave a slow nod.
"It's rough, huh?" He gave a weak little chuckle. "The whole relocating thing, the gang thing, all of it." |
