Elise pulled a face of confusion.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"Ya, Ye Rim, just listen to your brothers, won't you? Trust us on this one." Coda said, using his "big brother voice" that meant he was trying to throw his weight around as the eldest sibling.

Tanner glanced at Coda but decided to just let him take this one over as he looked at the little boy in Coda's arms instead. "Seung Wook!"

"Jageunappa!" Seung Wook chirped as he stretched for Tanner, completely unbothered by the situation.

Elise's cheeks puffed up in defiance, as if she were a five-year-old getting ready to go toe-to-toe with her oldest brother.

"Why should I do what you say just because 'you said so'? You're not Appa." She said.

"If Appa ever had to deal with him like we have, he'd say the same." Tanner said very confidently as he reached over and scooped up his nephew from Coda.

"Well, it isn't you, or Kang Dae, or Appa who has to deal with anyone. He's been perfectly nice and pleasant to me each time we've run into each other." Elise rebutted.

"Because he's a womanizer, Elise, that's what he does." Tanner said, looking at her then as he pursed his lips.

Elise felt her stomach drop, and she didn't quite understand why.

Elise's brows furrowed as she looked between the both of her brothers. Part of her wanted to insist on an answer, but the other part of her...well she didn't really need to know she surmised.

"Great. Anyways, Seung Wook wanted to see you guys so I brought him down here. The least you could do is buy us lunch since you both seem to be available." She said.

"Of course, of course." Tanner agreed, giving Seung Wook gentle little hops in his arms. "We can't let this little guy fade away on us!"

"Fading! I'm hungry!" Seung Wook said, putting on a hammed up groan as he dramatically 'flopped' in Tanner's grasp.

Some time had passed since Elise had gotten settled in Korea and she was currently on break from school for the chuseok holiday.

Normally, having grown up in the States with her parents, the holiday wasn't much beyond going over to her maternal grandparents house with her parents and having a big dinner with them. This time, however, she was celebrating the national holiday with all the bells and whistles. She and her brothers' families made their way back to the little countryside town where their aunts and extended family lived and where both Coda and Tanner had spent majority of their youth. Elise had visited a handful of times growing up, but it felt much different being there as an adult and without her parents to take the lead.

After spending a few days with their family, they all parted ways and returned to their respective homes to relax for the rest of the holiday.

Currently, Elise was perched at the dining table with several bowls in front of her with mandu filling and wrappers. She was helping Soo Mi get things ready for dinner while idly watching TV, which was a rare treat considering the younger kids usually hogged it for their own watching.

"I can't believe you used to do this by yourself. This is an insane amount of mandu to be folding on your own." Elise said as she pleated the dumpling to the best of her ability (which was not great...).

Soo Mi gave a little chuckle as she reached for her next one to fold up. "You get used to it after the first oh, hundred." She half joked as she paused and reached over for the TV remote, changing the channel. "Mm, hope you don't mind but that show Coda was filming for a while back is premiering."

"Mm, not at all." Elise assured as she set down her shoddy work and began on another. She looked up to the screen and recognized some of the backgrounds in the shots for the intro as part of the set she had gone to a few times to bring Seung Wook to visit with his dad. "Oh, I remember when he was filming this. I didn't realize it was coming out so soon." She said before doing a doubletake as another familiar face that wasn't either of her brothers popped up in the opening credit sequence. "Ya, is that Oliver oppa?" She asked, mostly to herself because she didn't assume Soo Mi would be privy to the newer actors and actresses on the scene.

Soo Mi glanced up. "Oliver? Is that Jae-sungs other name? I didn't know you wet into k-pop like that."

"Jae Sung?" Elise asked before giving a firm shake of her head, her expression becoming shocked confusion instead. "K-pop?" She sputtered, looking to the TV screen, looking back to Soo Mi, and proceeding to point at the screen. "That guy? K-pop?"
