Tanner waited outside of a little Boba shop, where he and Mi Na had agreed to meet so they could take the short walk from there to Coda and Soo Mi's. He had grabbed a drink for himself and for Mi Na and Hei Ran and was sitting on an outside bench while checking work emails on his phone, his resting bitch face as strong as ever. |

Mi Na was making her way with Hei Ran to meet Tanner, as they had done a few times before now. It was definitely a strange situation to navigate, but Mi Na had to admit that Tanner was doing better than anyone, mostly himself, could have anticipated.
Today, they were going to Coda’s house, which Hei Ran was very excited about. As much as she had fun with her mom and new “appa”, she was excited to go play with other kids for once.
Hei Ran swung her arm and hummed as they came up on the boba place where they typically had met. |

| Tanner glanced up when he heard humming and footsteps and gave a small but genuine little smile as he gave a little wave by curling a couple of fingers in greeting since it was holding his boba cup. "Hey you two." |

| “Appa!” Hei Ran cheered, letting go of Mi Na’s hand only so she could rush over to Tanner. She launched herself at his legs and wrapped around him. “Appa!” |

Tanner chuckled a little. "Good, I'm glad. Have you been helping out your Eo-"
"Hanuel!" an unfamiliar voice called out making Tanner turn his head. He was blinded immediately by a flash of light which made him throw up a hand, not to protect his eyes but to protect his daughter instead from whatever it was. "Hanuel, was this little girl calling you Appa?!" |

Mi Na was quick to hurry over, turning her back to the reporter while reaching to grab up Hei Ran and tucking her to her chest.
“Eomma!” Hei Ran instantly whined. |

"Whats her name!" "Is she why you won't come back to acting?!" "Is this the reason you guys split up and you left?" several people asked as they came up to them, filming and taking photos.
Tanner got up and got in front of Mi Na and Hei Ran, jaw set. "Enough! Leave us be." |

“Haneul, lets go. Let’s go.” Mi Na tried to urge, listening as Hei Ran began to let out fretful little snivels.
“Mi Na, is she Haneul’s child or someone else’s?” Someone asked as they reached to grab at Mi Na’s sweater sleeve. |

| Tanner glanced when he heard Hei Ran sniffling and pushed the person's hand away firmly with a glare before going to put his arm around Mi Na and guide her to his car quickly. "Come on, lets go." |

| Mi Na made no protest and allowed herself to be ushered away, holding on tight to Hei Ran while trying to soothe her with gentle croons, though she was a bundle of nerves herself. |
