Rory sighed tiredly as she waited for the open at the gate to wait and call for her and the rest of her families row of seats to be allowed through. They usually only let sections of people through at a time, from A to D and so on. And Rory was already exhausted.
Getting everyone ready to go, getting their tickets from the front and checked in, getting their luggage checked in, finding their gate, feeding Dallas because he insisted he must be fed THEN, getting Stephen some Dramamine and now they waited, even though Rory was starving herself. |

After a few weeks of planning (and mostly stressing over a passport), Elliot, Rory, and the rest of the family were finally on their way to Ireland...sort of. They had yet to leave the airport yet, but they'd be boarding soon and while Elliot was rather excited for this trip, he was also very nervous. He knew his and Rory's relationship had a rocky past and he couldn't imagine her family would be huge fans of the "ex", so he was hoping for the best and hoping he wouldn't be run out of Dalkey.
He had noticed early on in their trip to and about the airport, Rory had been under a great deal of stress, so once he helped her get situated at the gate with Dally, he managed to slip away to one of the shops to grab her a cup of coffee and a light breakfast pastry. He had never flown before, but he'd heard awful things about airplane food.
He came back over and took a seat beside Rory, looking up to make note of the progress of everyone boarding.
"Here, I got these for you. Lemme take him." Elliot said, referring to Dally. |

"Hm?" Rory mumbled sleepily before glancing over, looking relieved and lighting up a bit when she saw. "Oh god, Elliot, you're truly a saint." she laughed slightly and went to hand over a sleepy Dallas. |

"I try." Elliot chuckled, taking Dally and handing over the treats in a haphazard juggle (with the breakfast, not the baby). He cuddled up Dallas to his chest and even wrapped his sweater around him as best as he could. |

"Da." Dallas whined, burying his face in Elliot's sweater, rubbing his face against it fussily and sleepily.
"And you succeed." Rory sighed happily, immediately sipping at the coffee and going to start on the little pastry, offering a piece to Elliot while watching her mother and Stephen watch planes out the window. |

Elliot took the piece and popped it in his mouth while gently rubbing at Dallas's back soothingly.
"So, how long is this flight again?" He asked. |

"From Tulsa to Dublin... nine hours." Rory sighed, pulling a face tiredly. "They're five hours ahead of us, it'll be dark by the time we get in but not too late. We'll fly into Dublin and then Dalkey is just outside of the city. My aunt Claire will be picking us up." |

"Well, you can sleep on the plane, I'll keep Dally occupied so you can rest." Elliot nodded. |

"You need sleep too." Rory shook her head in protest. |

"I'll wake you up halfway through then. You can take care of him for the last few hours." Elliot suggested, looking up when their section was called. He looked down at Dally, making sure he was comfortable before he got up. |

"That works." Rory sighed as she got up tiredly, grabbing her carry on and the baby bag before going to start moving, grabbing her information to hand over as Stephen and Heather followed. |

Elliot gestured for Rory to fork over the baby bag.
"Give it here." He insisted. |

"Mm? No, I've got it, you've got Dallas and your own carry on." Rory shook her head, glancing over. |

"He's as light as a little feather. A fat little feather, but a feather. I can carry the bag too." Elliot continued to insist. |

"Well.. focus on giving your information first and then I'll hand it over, alright?" Rory decided, stepping away once she was handed her things back. |
