Griffith couldn't help himself as he dropped the papers and hastily stepped forward with tears in his eyes. He wrapped an arm around each of the boys's necks, tugging them close to him as he let out a shaky little sob.

"I-I've b-be-been waiting to meet y-you kids for s-so long." He said, trying not to blubber too bad.

Digby was too startled to move, taken aback by the action.

Lowell made a startled noise, blinking rapidly as he and his twin was pulled into an embrace. "W...wuh?" he sputtered, still in shock. "But..." he started, trying to pull some thought to the front of his mind. "B-But you gave us up."

Digby, having remembered this fact at his twin's mentioning jerked away more insistently.

"Y-yeah! You...you're the one who...you gave us up!" Digby said.

Griffith, though he gave a slight flinch at the sudden hostility and questionability of his sons, expected the reaction as he took a step back.

"If you want to come in...I can explain...I really can." He nodded.

Lowell edged closer to his twin, lips pursing as he eyed the man and then the house behind him. "How do we know this isn't some sort've... I dunno.. trick or something?"

"If you don't want to come in, we can go somewhere public. There's a coffee place not to far from here, we can talk there." Griffith said, just taking in his boys as he looked at them.

God...they looked just like him, and, God, they looked like Harper too.

"U-uhm. Yeah. Yeah, lets do that." Lowell nodded a little, fidgeting slightly and went to start down the porch steps with Digby again.

"Okay, okay, I just...let me grab my wallet, my shoes, I'll be right out." Griffith nodded quickly before scrambling to grab those things.

Lowell waited till Griffith was back in before glancing at his brother. "...We look like we fell out of his butt."

"Yeah, your nose looks just like his." Digby muttered back, not wanting that HE looked like his dad despite his and his brother's identical status.

Griffith hastily grabbed his things and came out of the house, pausing to grab the papers he'd dropped on the ground. He collected them and hurried over to the boys, offering them back out to Lowell.

"Sorry, didn't mean to...drop those. Um...so there's that coffee place or there's a diner with a good breakfast. I'll take you wherever you boys want." Griffith said, still blown away that his boys were there.

"We're twins." Lowell muttered in response to Digby, not wanting to feel isolated in this. He glanced back at their father, fidgeting and gave a shrug. "Uh.. diner.. I guess..."

"Alright, um, good, good. It's just a few blocks, we can walk." Griffith nodded, still just taking it all in.

"Lead the way." Digby said, still holding onto his twin's hand.

Lowell nodded, giving Digby's hand a light squeeze and clutching onto the papers tightly still. He couldn't help but wonder about their mother.

"S-so um...wow...you kids must be fifteen now, right? Your birthday...it was two months ago, in April?" Griffith asked, though, he knew very well when the boys' birthday was.

He could remember every little detail about they day they were born, down to the temperature outside. It'd been a particularly hot day they were born. He could remember Harper demanding ice chips throughout the whole delivery, as well as extra fans. Griffith even went down to the gift shop and bought a little handheld fan to hold for her. He remembered being absolutely stunned to hear how much each boy weighed, the both of them weighing a little under nine pounds each with just a few ounces difference between them. He could remember waking up with their little "freckle boy" the first night and sitting with him in the window seat of Harper's room and wondering what they were going to do from there.

He remembered just a few days later when he realized what was destined for their little family when Kasper realized who the boys' father was and got his hands on him and gutted him, damn near killed him.

He could remember that being the deciding factor on what he and Harper had to do. He could remember how much that realization hurt.

Lowell looked a little surprised and a little uneasy still. "Yeah, that's right..." he said, quietly. He didn't get it. He really didn't.

"Do either of you...um...drive yet then?" Griffith asked, wanting to ask all sorts of quesitons, but not sure which ones were too intimate.
