Kasper stepped out of his truck after parking in a secluded spot amongst the rusted forgotten vehicles. He looked around, lips pursing. Tonight was the big "rumble" between his gang and fuck-boy's Lawson's gang.
Neither of their gangs were anything to be doubted. Obviously, Lawson batted no eye at killing an innocent man and Kasper after that, batted no eye either. If he could just find who it was that pulled the trigger, he'd gave their organs laid out for their family.
Kasper whistled slightly and sighed, shaking his head as he looked around the junkyard. He could remember this place, his mother was good friends with the owner.
Craig's Junkyard used to be a good place to go and get spare parts for whatever you were working on at the time but after ol' Craig passed away and his snotty ass son refused to take over the business or even sell it over to someone who'd put good use to the land. Instead, it just sat here, bitterly forgotten.
"'Ey, Harper, Marty, you two go wait by the entrances and let me know when Fuck Boy rides in." Kasper ordered, turning back to the truck and going to grab something.
Harper made a slight face at being ordered around but shrugged and shoved her hands in her jacket pocket, trailing off for the front entrance. She felt uneasy now that the younger boy that had been with Lawson had seen her, had seen how fast she was, as comical as it sounded.
She preferred having an element of surprise. She leaned against the wall outside of the entrance, watching the road as she reached up to pull her hair back and check for her small knife in her belt.
This was a bit ridiculous but she didn't question Kasper. After all, it was his gang and it wasn't HER brother that had been killed by these guys. Thank god.
Marty patted Kasper on the back before heading to the back entrance of the Junkyard, full of excitement and still a bit of nerves. With any rumble, you could go in and never come back out if things went too far.
Which more often than they wanted, they did.
Kasper headed to an opening in the junkyard with Gavin, Stevie (the only other female in the group though you couldn't really tell), Baron and several others.
"So, we're really going to listen to that louder than shit Kasper and do this?" Griffith had a questionable brow risen as he leaned all his weight onto a worn looking baseball bat, which looked as if it had seen better days with the lackluster silver finish and makeshift grip made up of various types of tape.
He, his brother, and several of their associates were getting ready just behind the junkyard while their youngest recruit, Louis, clipped away at the chainlink fence with a pair of boltcutters. Lawson was sitting on the hood of his car, binding up his hands with some boxing tape as he did before any fight. More than anyone, Lawson was known for using nothing but brute force and the occassional knife to draw his blood, which he always did, earning him the name "Blood Loss Lawson" to some. He raised his hand to his mouth and used his teeth to tear into the tape. He set the roll of tape down and flexed his hands a few times, admiring his handiwork before looking up to his brother with a grim expression, one that was meant for "business".
"I don't care what that giant piss-baby was wailin', we know where he is, so we're going to get at him." Lawson said before standing up, striding over to the slightly boy clipping at the fence. He watched as the last few pieces of fencing were cut into and he proceeded to kick at it, knocking it free.
"Kasper, man, ain't this asking for trouble, settin' up fights like this? They probably won't come through the entrances, why would they just walk into a fight, eh?" Gavin spoke up, leaning against a rusted WV Bug, resting his metal baton behind his neck and his wrists on that, letting his arms hang.
"You think I don't know that, Gavin? If you'd shut up, we could hear them." Kasper huffed, irritatedly as he pulled on his gloves and then his brass knuckles.
Harper huffed slightly as she looked both ways on the road again before going to trail back inside. She blew on her hands, frowning.
All of Lawson's boys ducked through the makeshift opening in the fence, trying to be as quiet as possible as they all skittered towards various vehicles to hide behind. Lawson was at the forefront of the pack, finding an old rust-bucket of a pick-up to hide behind. He could hear some talking a few yards away and his brows notably furrowed when he heard Kasper's voice.
Meanwhile, Griffith had snuck in last, deciding to loop around the junkyard a ways from his brother in hopes of creating a more solid "attack pattern" around the other group. He clutched his bat tight to his frame as he ran, keeping his frame low and hunched, around the junkyard, looping towards the front.
Gavin sighed and scrubbed a hand through the back of his hair before going silent to listen with the rest of them. Marty had returned just before the boys had been surrounded, unknowingly and was talking to Baron under hushed tones.
Stevie was at Kasper's side, though she was facing the opposite direction than him, taking Harper's spot until she got back. Stevie was more muscle and heft than Harper by a long shot.
Harper froze when she heard the ground shift a bit and looked up and ahead, catching Griffith's shadow. She ducked and moved behind another row of vehicles to follow, hoping they hadn't been caught off guard.
Lawson clenched and unclenched his hands time and time again, listening for Kasper and his boys to speak again, as they were undoubtedly listening for him and his own now.
Griffith paused in his steps when he heard soft footfalls somewhere near him. He instantly hurried behind a car missing it's door and crouched down, clinging tight to the side. Had he been followed?
Kasper frowned and turned his head slightly, listening hard for anything.
"What if they don't even show man?" Gavin spoke up again only to be smacked by one of the others.
Harper ducked quickly too before going to try and find her way around him, needing to warn Kasper quickly. She only saw him briefly but now she was positive this was going to get bad, quick.
Griffith uttered a quiet curse under his breath when he caught the almost inaudible sound of shifting not that far behind him.
Damn, I was right, someone was tailing me, Griffith thought to himself as he gently padded in search of his pursuer, hoping to find them before the could catch him.
Harper glanced over her shoulder, hoping the boy hadn't caught her as she rushed to try and find an opening to run in. She had the choices of shouting to Kasper or running full speed ahead in.
She stopped at a vehicle, trying to figure out what to do as she took a deep breath quietly.
Unfortunately for Harper, Griffith had turned into the pursuer rather than the pursued and was trailing a good distance behind Harper, waiting on her to make the slightest of moves. No one was going to get the jump on his group's sneak attack of he could avoid it.
Harper took another deep breath before taking off at full speed, deciding she'd scream to warn Kasper if it came down to it. It was foolish but she didn't see much more of an alternative.
She just had a lot to dodge past.
Kasper turned when he heard very faint footsteps, frowning.
Much like Harper, one of Griff's more refined skills he relied on was his speed, so as soon as the girl hit the ground running, he followed suit and hurried after her, closing the gap between them at a slow, but steady pace.
Lawson glanced over the hood of the truck he was hiding behind and watched Kasper closely, acknowledging his attention was divided.
This was his chance.
Without saying a word, he lurched up and began sprinting towards Kasper.
Harper glanced back and cursed, trying to push herself to run faster. "KASPER, THEY'RE HERE!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.
Kasper and Stevie spun around towards Harper's voice, unfortunately keeping their backs to Lawson. Kasper almost paused before going to spin around quickly again when he heard Gavin grunt and yelp from being jumped.
"You little shit!" Griffith huffed before he lunged forward and practically threw himself at Harper.
Lawson had essentially thrown a man out of the way just to get a chance at Kasper, which he was already in the process of doing as he pulled his arm back, poised for a strike.
Harper grunted as she toppled with Griffith and rolled, trying to keep momentum and throw herself back up and away before he could land a blow, kicking out at him as she did.
Kasper jumped back and ducked from the swing before quickly standing again and taking a few steps back. "Puss move, Lawson."
