| "Momma too, baby." Darcy crooned, shutting off the car and grabbed his jacket from the back, wrapping it around Haleigh before getting out with her and going to hurry up and into the house. |

| Coco was struggling to stay awake in her perch on the couch. Between already being exhausted on the daily due to her usual momma duties and the whole twist and turn of events of today, she was absolutely ragged. She had just laid Annette down in the spare bedroom Harper had gotten set up for them and was currently on the couch waiting for Darcy to come home, or an officer to bring her news, or....just her baby girl. The coffee Harper had made her earlier was still settled in her palms but long since cold, unable to drink it due to her anxious stomach. |

Darcy managed to get the door unlocked, heading inside and shhing to Haleigh quietly, cuddling her and just trying to comfort her.
Harper headed down the stairs as soon as she heard the door. "Darcy?" she called. |

Coco nearly dropped the coffee mug before she set it on the table and scrambled to her feet, rushing towards the entryway hallway.
"D-Darcy?" She stuttered.
"Mommy?" Haleigh whimpered from her father's arms.
Coco felt her heart skip a beat as she hurried even more.
"B-BABY GIRL!" She wailed as she rounded the corner and found herself face to face with Darcy and Haleigh. Her whole body shook with relief as she came forward, reaching for Haleigh. "M-My baby, my baby!" |

"I-I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Haleigh. Mommy is so so s-so sorry!" Coco cried, clutching Haleigh close as her legs faltered beneath her and she sank to the floor with her daughter. "I-I'm so glad you're okay, s-so glad!"
Haleigh whimpered and clung tight to Coco, wrapping her little bruised arms around her neck. |

Harper's brows twitched into a furrow sadly when she noticed the marks, her hand coming up to rub at her own arm absently. "I'll get Haleigh something warm to drink and eat." she said to Darcy quietly before going to the kitchen.
Darcy sunk down by his little family and wrapped his arms around them both, kissing Coco's head with a quiet murmur of reassuring words. "Shhh, baby, it's okay.. she's home, she's home." |

| "I-I'm just so r-relieved. I was so worried...so worried." Coco simpered still, her wailing quieting down as Haleigh clung onto her. She tilted her head to kiss at Haleigh's cheek. "Y-you're safe baby, you're safe." She assured her daughter again and again. |

Coco freed up a hand and reached up to rub at the back of Darcy's neck as he rested his head against her.
"T-thank you, Darcy. Thank you, thank you." She crooned at him. |

| "It's not your fault, baby, it's not your fault. She's safe...okay? That's all that matters, she's sa-" Coco paused when she heard a little snore coming from between her and Darcy. She glanced down and noted Haleigh's eyes shut and her little mouth parted open with gentle snores. |
