Rhys had left bedtime duty to Lowell so that he could take a shower after saying his own goodnights to Roslyn. He was fresh out and still roughly drying his hair with a towel as he sat perched on their bed. He paused when he heard Lowell.
"Bedroom." He called out. |

| Lowell turned and headed that way, slipping into the room and gently pushing the door so it was almost shut but enough that they could hear the rest of the house. "So... that was a social worker." |

He and Lowell had long since gotten solo custody of Roslyn, he had imagined that the days of interviews and visits from social workers were done and over with. "Is Bethany trying to bring us another court case?" |

Rhys made a surprised little 'Oh!' before taking a beat to sit in shocked silence. After, he reached over to place his hand on Lowell's knee.
"Okay...how do you feel about that?" He asked, knowing full well that Lowell and Bethany had a turbulent relationship to say the least. |

Rhys drew in a long inhale and followed it with a thoughtful hum.
“To say I’m not a fan of Bethany is an understatement. I don’t think I can ever forgive her for the things she did to you or the things she put Ros through. However… she made our little love and look at how kind and wonderful she is. She’s nothing like Bethany. I think that this other baby has the same potential to be good and loving if given the same opportunity as Roslyn.” He reasoned. |
