"Yeah, didn't realize I was so tired until we were in the doctor's room." Darcy said, chuckling a bit when Griffith ruffled his hair and reached up to fix it slightly before going to get buckled in and tucked the cat close to his chest again, cuddling her tiredly.
"Yeah, well, we'll just make that one stop and head home, and you...well, actually, all of us, could use some rest tonight." Griffith said with a chuckle as he shut the door and headed over to the driver's side.
"Me too." Griffith chuckled as he buckled up. He started the car up and proceeded to pull out onto the road, heading towards the nearest pet shop, hoping that it was still open.

After a very brief trip to the pet store, Griffith and Darcy arrived home with the cat, and all of her necessities. Griffith parked the car and heaved a tired sigh before he unbuckled and got out of the car with a stretch.
"I'll get Dixie to come help you while I unload, alright, Darce?" Griffith said, ducking to look back into the car.
Darcy picked up his head from where he had leaned it against the door and nodded tiredly, going to unbuckle. "Yeah, yeah." he said, glancing down at the cat who had fallen asleep in his lap, wearing her brand new collar.
Griffith chuckled a bit, watching Darcy move tiredly to situate himself. He popped the trunk before closing the car door to go retrieve everything from the trunk, or rather, whatever he could carry. Darcy had said he only wanted a few little things, but Griffith insisted if they were going to have this cat, they were going to do it right, so he'd bought food, toys, a scratching post, and a nice little bed ("I don't want her having her babies on the floor after we just got it polished"). He managed to carry most of it up to the house, setting it down on the porch so he could open the door.
As soon as he opened the door, the smell of dinner hit him, along with his brother yapping away to Harper in the kitchen, presumably, which brought a smile to his face.
"We're home!" He called out, picking the things up and heading in. "Dixie, go help Darce out of the car, he's pretty bushed!"
Dixon poked his head out of the kitchen, looking to Griffith and grinning when he saw the cat stuff.
"Does that mean we're keeping her!" He shouted, which, Griffith couldn't help but laugh at.
Darcy waited patiently, stretching out and reaching down to pet the cat again, earning a sleepy 'mrrr?' in response to his touch and a sleepy look from Momma Cat. He smiled and rubbed her ears. "We're home, Momma Cat. Your home now too!"
Harper chuckled when she heard. "Sooo, all went well then?" she called from her spot in the kitchen.
Dixon practically scrambled out of the house in a dead sprint, hurrying over to the car. He ran over to the passenger's side of the car and peaked in, grinning widely at Darcy and the cat in his lap.
"She gets to stay?" He asked giddily before opening the door up.
Griffith heaved a sigh as he set the cat things out of the way of the door and headed towards the kitchen where he found Harper. He leaned in the doorway and feigned a shrug.
"Look at you! You're even prettier than before!" Dixon complimented as he opened the door, reaching in to gently pet at the cat. He grinned down at her and then at Darcy. "I'm glad! I've never had a pet before!"
"Yeaaah, but what about me?" Griffith "whined" with a chuckle.
"Yeah, of course." Dixon grinned. He stepped around to grab the chair from the backseat of the car. He hauled it out and bent over to heft Darcy out, along with the cat. "You know, Darce, your muscles are starting to feel a lot stronger, like, I can feel you react more whenever I help you out." He commented as he situated his friend into his chair.
Griffith sighed again, smiling, as he stepped over to take Harper's hand. As soon as her hand was in his, he craned his head down to rest upon her shoulder.
"You know, this family is getting out of control." He joked, gently kissing at her shoulder.
"Yeah, I was able to heft myself into the car earlier." Darcy nodded, fixing himself in the chair again before going to roll back so Dixon could shut the car door. The cat sat up to look around, giving another yawn.
"Mm, you love it." Harper smiled, looking over her shoulder to look at him.
"By the time you're back in commission, I won't be able to wrestle with you anymore, you're going to be hella stacked." Dixon joked as he moved Darcy out of the way to close the door. He proceeded to push him towards the backdoor of the house, as that was the only wheelchair accessible point of access to the house.
"Mm, I do. I love you and our little ones the most though." Griffith smiled, reaching down to rest the whole of his hand over Harper's belly.
