The nurse took them back to an empty room, which, upon entering, she turned on the lights and set Harper's chart down on the counter.
"Doctor Kelly should be back to see you shortly, just get comfortable." She smiled as she exited.
Griff let out a pleasant sigh and led Harper over to the examination table, which he patted on, as if telling Harper to hop on up. |

| Harper hefted herself up onto the examination table, reaching up to pull her hair up afterwards. "I still wanna keep the genders a surprise." she said, for the sake of conversation. |

| "Wasn't twin's a surprise enough?" Griffith countered, crouching down in front of Harper's perch. He reached out with both of his hands to fondle her belly, smiling as he did so. |

"What? Why... did you drink the rest of mine?" Griffith said, pursing his lips in faux annoyance. If it had been anyone else besides his pregnant girlfriend, he might've been genuinely upset, but since it was Harper... he gave an exaggerated sigh. "Fine, but this one is mine." He teased.
Just as he went to lean in for another smooch, there was a knock at the door and Doctor Kelly let herself in.
"Hello everyone, how're we today?" She asked. |

| "Oh, I'm good, I'm good, busy day." Doctor Kelly sighed before approaching Harper, eyeballing her belly with an impressed smile on her face. "Looks like you're coming right along. Any complications?" She asked, gesturing for Harper to lay back on the table. |

"Well, those are typical, but, well, you know the drill, if they're bad, give us an immediate call and we'll get you situated." Doctor Kelly said, getting out her customary measuring tape, giving Harper's belly a quick measurement, nodding pleased.
Meanwhile, Griffith, still holding onto Harper's hand as he stretched out to grab the extra stool in the room, pulled over a seat for himself. He sat down and rested his chin on the side of the examination table, bumping his head idly against Harper's shoulder as he watched Doctor Kelly.
"Good news is your little ones appear to be growing right along, however, as your pregnancy progresses, I'm afraid you'll probably experience even more discomfort if they keep growing at this rate." Doctor Kelly explained. She looked to Griffith then. "You're going to have to make sure, especially later on, that she takes it easy." She said. |
