| "Good, that's all I want." Griffith smiled, savoring the lingering feel of Harper's lips on his. He caught Harper looking back at the funeral home and gave her a slight nudge. "Hey...it's nothing, really, okay? I mean...I guess I shouldn't say that, it's not nothing, but me and Dixie...we've already started our mourning process, we already said our goodbyes. This whole thing is more of a formal thing for Lawson's friends." He explained. |

| Harper looked back at him and took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "'Kay. I just.. didn't know if you needed to get right back." she said, reaching to kiss the top of his hand. "I've missed you." she admitted. |

| Harper nodded a little and went to start walking with him again. "Yeah. I've wanted to come see you too but.. yeah." she nodded, hesitating before moving to lean her head against his arm while they walked. |

| Harper flushed just slightly and gave a proper laugh, the first once since everything had been going on. "You're such a dork." she grinned, looking up at him with quite the affectionate gaze. |

He extended his arm around her and squeezed her close to his side.
"I'm going to snuggle the shit out of you when we get to the hotel." He said. |

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm fine, I'm not fragile at all, let's do those things." He said confidently, although, the pink tinting his ears betrayed that confidence. |
