It'd been a few hours since Griffith sent Harper on her way, and in that time, he managed to sweep up (hopefully) all of the glass from the shattered windows and stapled up cardboard to cover the gaping windows. He'd placed a call to a glass shop in town, but unfortunately they wouldn't be able to come out until the morning, which, was fine, Griffith supposed, as long as they got their repairs done.
He'd called to a local pizza place and ordered a few pizzas so no one would have to fuss with cooking, also, he figured it would be a good way to cushion the blow he planned make tonight: he wanted to hasten the move date.
He knew it wasn't ideal, but if Ripley was involved... Kasper was a huge problem, of course, but so was Ripley. And, unlike Kasper, Ripley had a way of sneaking his way out of police involvement.
He went upstairs to roust Harper before the boys got home from Darcy's physical therapy session. |

| Harper had fallen into a broken doze, too anxious from everything to really sleep but trying to sleep to calm down in the first place. She stirred when she heard the footsteps coming up the stairs, opening her eyes and reaching up to rub at her face. |

Griffith tried to quietly make his way in the room, hoping to maybe cuddle Harper awake, but instead found her already waking up and rubbing at her face.
"Hey, punk, you awake already?" He crooned as he approached the bed. He crouched down by the mattress and reached out to gently stroke at Harper's face. |

| "Of course, love." Griffith smiled a bit, removing his hand from her face only to move it to her belly, which he gave a series of light little pats. "Are my baby birds peckish?" He puckered his lips at her belly. |

| "No, not yet, but I called them not that long ago and Dixie said they were just waiting at the bus stop." Griffith said, leaning forward on his haunches to kiss at Harper's belly. "When they get home, we all need to sit down though, I want to talk about the moving situation." He said then, standing up. |

Griffith was quiet for a moment before heaving a drawn out exhale from his nose.
"I guess...you weren't working with Kasper then." He gestured for Harper to settle back on the bed as he poised to sit down on the mattress. As soon as he licked at his lips and began, "Lawson wasn't always the leader of the gang. Before him... there was Vicker and Vicker had brother, Ripley. Now, Vicker wasn't a bad guy, not really at least, but his brother...Ripley is not all there and between that and the power he assumed came with being the leader's brother, he's...extremely unhinged and ruthless." Griffith explained. "I...I wasn't sure it was true, but there's been a rumor that he had a hand in...what happened to Lawson." |
