Growing up, Dixon had always been the most timid out of his siblings. He was always the one to cling to their mother's apron strings and the one who needed Griff to hold his hand on the first day of school. He found solace in enjoying the company of a very select few rather than spending time with copious amounts of people. And while he wasn't necessarily "unsocial", these traits made it very hard for him to be social to any degree, or even make many friends.
Until Darcy.
He wasn't sure how it worked, but it did. Him an Darcy simply clicked. He enjoyed spending time with Darcy, and Darcy liked spending time with him, which was nice. So nice, in fact, Dixon had dared to ask the question most kids ask in their earlier years.
"Could I have a sleepover?"
Of course, at first, Lawson disagreed, mostly as a precaution as he didn't want anyone finding out his other line of work, but also because he didn't want to get anyone else involved. But after some rather insistent whining and a vouch from Griff about Darcy, Lawson finally caved and gave the greenlight to "Project All-Nighter".
And today was the day.
Dixon was bouncing about the house, stopping at one of the front windows in the living room every so often to look out, hoping to spot Darcy. He'd begged and begged Griff for some money for snacks, which, Griff finally folded and gave it to Dixon ("It was my date money...but...dammit, take it."). Dixon put the money to good use and purchased a ridiculous amount of unhealthy treats, as well as a few dvd rentals. Flora had made Lawson give up his Xbox for the night, even going as far as making him take it out of their room and setting it up in the living room. Permitted, Dixon wasn't very good at video games, moreover, he wasn't sure that was the sort of thing boys did at sleepovers, he was sure he and Darcy would have a good time anyway.
Now, if only Darcy would get there.

In the other room, Griffith was packing up an overnight bag, as he intended to take Harper out for a night out on the town in Natesville, complete with a paid-in-full night at one of the nicer hotels there.
Their relationship, while going strong, still lacked a great many things to make it "normal", and even though Griff was sure he couldn't make things as normal as a white-picket fence, he planned to try and give Harper little pleasures like this. He planned to do what he could to make her happy and make things work, considering their situation.
He shoved the last of his grooming things into his backpack and zipped it up before heading out of his and Dixon's room, grabbing the extra bike helmet he had sitting on the desk he and his brother shared.
He poked his head out of his room, looking to make sure the hallway was clear of Lawson. While he was sure Lawson wouldn't ask too many questions, he was sure he'd ask all the annoying ones ("Where are you going?" "Who are you going with?" "Are you going to have sex?" "Do you have condoms?" "I have some cherry flavored ones if you think your date will like those?"), so Griff wanted to avoid him at all costs. Thankfully, the coast was clear, and he proceeded out into the hall, down the stairs, and towards the door. He stopped briefly by the living room, catching Dixon staring out the window.
He gave a small grin and approached, reaching out to tousle his brother's hair, to which Dixon responded with a slight jolt.
"Hey, I'm heading out, kid." Griff said, ruffling Dixon's hair a little more, practically shaking the blond's glasses from his face.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, get out of here." Dixon laughed as he tried to straighten his glasses and duck away from Griffith. When Griff stopped ruffling his hair, he looked up at him. "You gonna take your gal out?" He asked, although, he didn't need to when he saw that small lovesick glint in Griff's eyes. "Treat her to something nice, okay?" Dixon smiled before waving Griffith off.
Darcy took a deep breath as he headed down the street to Dixon's place, wondering if Lawson was going to be there. He usually only popped in for an hour or so after school and before Lawson got off of work to study with Dixon or just to chill until his sister was free and off work and this was going to be different.
It was a weekend. And it was all night. Surely Lawson would make an appearance and if he was somehow recognized... it would be a little terrifying. But he would be a big liar if he said he wasn't excited about tonight. He hadn't ever had a sleep over or been invited or anything before.
Most of the time kids had found him strange or they just moved around too much for him to get close to anyone. Not that he had tried.
Until Dixon, that is.
Dixon changed pretty much everything and really all in a good way. Darcy was happier, more social, more eager to go out and do things rather than stay in the house and really... it made Harper feel so relieved. Darcy had someone else that made him happy and he could lean on a little.
Darcy headed up to the Dixon's driveway, hefting his backpack that he had his overnight stuff in, better on his shoulder as he did, gnawing at his bottom lip. He was still a little nervous. He didn't want to screw anything up.

Harper had packed her own overnight bag and was waiting in her room to hear Griffith's bike. She was... well.. excited. She couldn't really wait to have a break and get away with Griffith for a while and not worry about the gang or someone finding them, (though there was still a chance, it was very low) and she could really just be... happy. And relaxed.
She had been doing her best at avoiding any questions by Kasper and tonight she would have to be very careful on avoiding him when Griffith showed up. She made sure to text him to wear a full helmet tonight, just in case.
Just in case.
She paced in her room, with nerves and excitement as she clanked the metal ball of her tongue piercing against her teeth and messed with the sleeves of her sweater, pulling them over her fingers and then back down, fiddling with the fabric and so forth.
Griffith had just hopped onto his bike in the driveway and was in the midst of pulling on his helmet when he saw Darcy walking up. He paused for a moment, giving a small wave to Harper's younger brother.
"Hey, kid, Dixon's inside. Watch out though, he's basically springloaded and ready to launch himself at you, I'm sure." He joked.
"Oh dear." Darcy laughed, looking over at him as he stepped over to talk to him. "Yeah, my sister is kinda the same. She's been excited all day- uh, don't tell her I said that." he hesitated and then reached into the pocket of his bag and pulled out a glasses case, opening it. "Do these look okay for Dix?"
Griffith blinked, somewhat surprised, and hung the helmet from the handles on his bike as he hopped off, approaching Darcy to get a better look at the glasses. They bore a close resemblance to the glasses Kasper had broken, however, they appeared much cleaner, less broken, and a litlte more grown up even.
"Wow...Darcy...you didn't have to do that." Griff said, unable to fight back the grateful smile on his face. He looked up to Darcy's face. "These are great." He said, nodding.
Darcy smiled and tucked it back in his bag before Dixon could look out and see. "I wanted to though. He'd do the same for me, if he could. You know? You'd better go before Harper dies of anxiety." he laughed.
"Yeah," Griff chuckled before reaching out to ruffle Darcy's hair like he'd done Dixon's earlier. He stepped back over to his bike, pulling on the helmet, however, keeping the visor raised. "You two have a good time, but try not to run Lawson up the walls, alright?" He advised before lowering the visor and starting up his bike.
Darcy gave a nervous chuckle at that and glanced back at the house. "Uhm... yeah. Yeah." he said, grabbing onto the strap of his bag tightly. "See you later, Grif."
There was a muffled "bye" through the helmet as the engine kicked on and Griff revved at the gas. He kicked up the stand holding the bike and began rolling backwards towards the road, looking over his shoulder as he did so.
In the meantime, Dixon had just poke his head inbetween the curtains once more, looking for Darcy. There was an audible squeal of excitement, followed by a loud "THUNK" against the glass as Dixon smooshed his face against the window.
Darcy was watching Griffith and gave a yelp when he heard Dixon, turning quickly to stare. He blinked before bursting into laughter and went to jog up to the door and gave a short knock to be let in. "Diiiiiixoooooooon."

"Oh, you're anxious." Harriet commented to Harper from her bedroom doorway with a small chuckle. Harper jumped and spun around quickly to look at Harriet, looking relieved that it was just her.
"Oh, Harriet." she breathed, rubbing at her neck. "Yeah, sorry. I'm going out with a friend tonight."
"Mmm, a friend, hm?" she stepped into the room and reached over to fix Harper's bed covers.
"Darcyyyyyy!" Dixon called as he recoiled from the window and trotted over to the door to let in his partner in crime.
---
It wasn't before long,Griffith was pulling onto Harper' street, slowing down as he came up on the house. He revved his engine a few times, as if to get Harper's attention inside.
Darcy smiled wide when the door was opened. "Hey!! Sorry I'm late. Got lost..." he admitted with an embarrassed laugh.

Harper looked relieved when he heard him. "That's him, gotta go!" Harper kissed Harriet's cheek and snatched up her bag, going to run out and outside quickly.
Harriet chuckled. "Him, hm?" she murmured to herself.
"Hey, no problem, you're here now, right?" Dixon grinned, pushng up his crumpled glasses up the bridge of his nose.
---
Griffith leaned onto the handlebars of his bike as he waited for Harper to emerge from the house. I fit had been anyone else at any other time, Griff would probably be annoyed by waiting, but since it was Harper, he still couldn't stop smiling.
"Yeah! Can I step in though?" he chuckled. "Got a surprise for you." he said, digging in his bag again for the glasses case.

Harper hurried down the stairs of the house and then out the front door and down the steps of the front porch before rushing to Griffith, trying to not throw herself at him. "Hey!"
"Ooooh, a gift for me?" Dixon grinned and stepped aside, letting Darcy into the house.
----
On the other side of town, Griffith, while grinning like a fool behind the helmet, managed to contain himself to a small wave as Harper approached. God she was so pretty...and she was all his.
