Rory parked her car with a tired sigh as she stretched out and then touched her stomach affectionately, glancing at the sleeping Dallas in her rear view. She gave a little smile and then went to get out and head around back to get Dallas out.
They were meant to be meeting Elliot here since it was close to work for him and he was meant to be getting Dallas for the weekend after his shift ended. Plus, they decided they needed some time to talk about things.
"Up we go, little man." she whispered to the still dozey little boy as she grabbed his bag and went to head into the park with him to find Elliot or to wait. |

Elliot was currently perched by the empty park playground, munching on a sandwich and nursing a coffee while he read a new book he'd picked up from work.
Things had been going pretty well for he and Rory in ways he didn't think possible after their break-up almost a full year and a half ago now. They got along more than just civilly, which worked out positively for their son and for their individual persons as well.
They got along so well that with baby number two on the way, Elliot thought it'd be appropriate to maybe suggest getting a place together. Sure, they weren't together, but Elliot didn't want to miss anything with their second child, not the way he missed out with Dally. Moreover, it'd be more beneficial for the both of them in many aspects.
He glanced out to the parking lot when he heard a car door shut and he gave a little grin when he saw Rory and Dally. He set down his book by his bag (presumably filled with snacks for Rory and Dally as well) and got up to go help Rory.
"Hey, let me take him." He reached out as he approached. |

"Hmph, thank you, he's getting heavy." Rory admitted with a small chuckle, handing over the sleepy boy.
"Da." Dallas whined sleepily, rubbing at his eyes as he laid his cheek on Elliot's shoulder. |

| "You look good though, like you're handling it well." Elliot said, although, truthfully, he didn't know what she was supposed to look like at this point in her pregnancy. "How big were you when you were this far along with Dally?" He asked as they walked along towards the bench he'd been perched at. |

| "Hmm, well, maybe this one is just extra good luck." Elliot said, taking a seat on the bench and settling Dally into his lap. "I got you your usual from the deli if you're hungry. If you're not, you can just take it with you when you leave." He said, gesturing to the bag. |
