Elliot felt his stomach roll in a strange way at the question and the context it was presented under.
“I...hired a private investigator to look into my parents. They said my dads name was...are...you Elijah Craven?” He asked, swallowing a nervous bud in his throat. |

She said their dad left her and her mom and, they both agreed, that it was probably to pursue Elliot’s mom. He’d abandoned Harper and he left before he even knew Elliot existed. |

Elliot furrowed his brows. Clearly Elijah didn't want to talk about the subject, which meant one thing to Elliot: he had abandoned Harper and he knew it.
"Oh...right." Elliot looked down at Dally at his leg. He couldn't imagine leaving his kids behind. |
