Ellie appeared to have been the source of fuss and was still as such as she wiggled in her spot. Her light eyes were squinted and wet with tears.
“She wants to be held. She loooooves her cuddles.” Leila said. |

Leila snorted a little laugh at Jake’s endearing nervousness and went over to help him. She placed Ellie into his arms, though it took little effort and maneuvering, she fit perfectly in Jake’s arms like she was supposed to be there.
“There we go...isn’t she perfect?” Leila said, glancing up at Jake with a smile. |
