It wasn't every day a new coven snaked it's way into town, or at least was able to sneak in and get established enough they began to cause trouble, so it was a mystery to Lawson and Griffith Fitz how a whole mess of witches and warlocks had apparently dodged their radar long enough to establish a coven and begin raising a kind of hell that was almost unfamiliar to the city given the absence of the "other sort" for the last ten years thanks to the Fitz brothers and their group of hunters.

It started out as little disturbances of the peace here and there, hardly noticeable enough to be deemed otherworldly, but now things, REAL things, were starting to happen and the boys had taken notice and began planning their strike.

It'd been awhile since they'd gone out to actively take out a whole coven, as they planned to do tonight as they readied themselves outside of the club where the witches were meeting, but at least Lawson was confident enough in everyone's abilities that they'd wipe them out.

"-and remember, no one leaves their fuckin' warding amulets in the car again, looking at you Benny." Lawson scolded one of the boys as they loaded and readied their weapons in a back alleyway behind the club.

Griffith scoffed when he saw Benny give a little bow of his head and slipped away to grab the amulets probably. He shook his head and reached up to make sure his own charms were on his neck, which, of course they were, they hadn't left his person since he was a small child and his father first gave them to him...before everything.

Darcy sat beside his sister boredly as he reached up to mess with his Herkimer Diamond necklace, the same crystal that his older sister had on her wrist band. It was supposed to be a "balancer" and really, he wondered if it could balance out the boredom he was feeling.

It was a coven meeting at some shitty club that Darcy, nor Harper, felt comfortable at. Kasper had demanded they sit down and work out their next plans, not that Darcy was actually allowed to do anything- not that he wanted to anyhow.

Kasper wasn't a good warlock, despite all he said, Darcy knew. But the Hunt siblings had to do what they had to do. And being on your own without a coven was... well... dangerous, nowadays.

Harper frowned as she glanced over at her younger brother, reaching over to ruffle his hair as she listened to Kasper ramble on about some spell he wanted to get into the works. She tried to tell him over and over that they were going to catch the attention of some hunting group but he seemed pretty confident.

And it would probably mean a good pay and practice and an energy cleanser, so she couldn't complain too much. But she couldn't help but be... wary.

"Man, kid, you look like you just swallowed a frog." Kasper commented to Darcy, making a face.

Darcy rolled his eyes slightly and leaned back. "I'm fine. What's the point of all this anyhow?"

As everyone geared up in preparation, Griffith slipped over to Lawson, who was strapping on every piece of "artillery" he had onto himself.

"Hey, what information do we have on this coven? You aren't going in balls out are you?" Griffith asked quietly.

"Balls out, Griff. I don't have much on them." Lawson admitted with a little shrug. "I know there's a handful of them, more warlocks than witches, my intel says there might be a kid, but we'll figure out what to do with that when we find them, if there is one."

Griffith frowned at that, mostly because they HAD a kid brother and sister back at home. It was hard to think any of these monsters were ever kids.

"Relax, Griff, we probably won't have to kill 'em if there is a kid." Lawson said. "We'll run them out of town, just like the rest and just kill the rest."

Griffith gave a little nod, still wary.

"Right...anyway, are we about ready to go?" He asked.

"Baby brother, us Fitz's were born ready." Lawson smirked as he pulled out a gun, loading it up with some blessed silver (one of the best weapons against witches allegedly). He gestured for everyone to step forward towards them, getting them ready to start their assault.

"We're going to get hunted out." Harper commented as she eyed the coven.

Kasper scoffed. "Then we'll wipe them out."

"We're not monsters." Harper frowned, nose crinkling at the suggestion.

"Yeah, well, that's how they treat us. That's what they call us. That's what they think we are. So we'll show 'em just how monstrous we can be." Kasper argued back, giving Harper a look.

Darcy pursed his lips. "Harp, can we go home?"

Once everyone was geared up, Lawson sent a quick text to a "man on the inside" they'd sent ahead of all of them to gain access to the service entrance on the club. There was a few minutes of wait time, but eventually, one of their boys came popping out of a service door and held it open with a smirk as everyone piled inside. Griffith thrust one of his guns at his comrade and proceeded to gather up a weapon for himself, getting into a poised and ready position like everyone else as they shuffled as a group towards the back rooms.

"But we're not monsters! That is why we get hunted is because of this kind've behavior!" Harper shouted at Kasper.

"What do you want us to do, huh?! Lay down and let them kill us?!" Kasper shouted back, standing up.

"Shut up!" Another member hissed, turning his eyes and eyes flashing gold as he stared at the door. "..We've got company. And they're warded." he said before the crowd quickly went to dash up.

Harper grabbed for Darcy, going to get up.

All the hunters glanced down as their amulets began letting off an eerie red glow, which earned a grimace from Lawson.

"Shit...they know we're here." He muttered before looking to Griffith. "Now or never." He said.

"Then now, dumbass." Griffith hissed before he strode forward, ahead of everyone else and went over to the single closed off room and kicked at the door, busting it wide open.

Kasper threw his hands out, sending a strong shock wave towards them at the door while the others rushed to try and figure out a way out. Harper pulled Darcy over to one of the windows and went to quickly pry it open with his help.

Griffith reached out with his free hand and grabbed at the doorjamb, holding on tight to stay on his feet, which was not something everyone else was able to do as he could hear the stumbling and sounds of shock behind him.

"Son of a-!" Griffith let out a bitter, and maybe even embarrassed, grunt and proceeded to point and aim his gun into the room, firing of a quick succession of three rounds, something copied by Lawson as soon as he regained his footing apparently.

Kasper just managed to dodge a bullet, cursing lowly. Gavin gave a wail of pain and dropped down immediately while Kasper and some of the others, joined together to make the rather heavy table rise and fly towards the hunters.

Harper got the window open and helped her brother up and through quickly before turning to help the others, panicking. "Go! Fuck- just go before someone else gets shot!"

Lawson managed to reach out and grab Griffith, yanking him downward just as the table came hurtling at them. It narrowly missed them and struck a few of the men behind them, earning frantic yelps as they were thrust backwards with the table.

"Taste silver, you ugly sons of bitches!" Lawson hooped as he began firing his gun off towards the witches, Griffith doing the same.

Harper, in a panic, threw up a warding shield as she stared in horror. "Fucking- you guys are fucking crazy!" she snapped at the hunters before turning quickly to try and climb out.

Griffith's head jerked over to where he could see a witch trying to make a bold escape through an open window. He furrowed his brows and proceeded to duck passed the mess of gunfire to head her way.

Kasper pulled Harper through before they both dashed off in opposite directions.

Harper knew her brother had gotten out but really, she could only pray to the Gods that he had gotten away and was hiding somewhere safe. She booked it for the near by woods, heart pounding as she glanced back to see if she was being followed.

"Son of a-I'm going after them!" Griffith called back to his group as they "handled" a few warlocks in the room. He proceeded to climb out of the window and dash after the witch.
