Tonight was the last big "hurrah" for the school cliques and so forth, seeing as everyone had just graduated from high school and Joey, from the baseball team, had been kind enough to throw a huge after-graduation party and of course, like any teenage party there was alcohol snuck in for large consumption.
Darcy and Dixon was still stuck to each other like glue, even at eighteen and they were known as the "it" team through most of high school and even as a couple by some assuming people and were even on the baseball team through out high school too. There wasn't a day you couldn't find them together at some point.
Everyone had been very proud of the boys for graduating (more so Dixon, if anyone was going to be honest because that boy was concerning) and they were good kids, really. Darcy was pretty consistent with his sports, studies and being pretty much the voice of reasoning in his and Dixon's friendship, while Dixon was... well.. Dixon.
Which was why Darcy was stuck to Dixon's side as usual, (not that he wouldn't be even if Dixon wasn't "Dixon" as everyone put it) and a little buzzed from the beer they had all been drinking. They'd all settled around to sit and talk in the main room of the house, Darcy and Dixon crashed out on the sofa together. |

"Jeeeeesus, Darcy, caaaan yohooo believe it, we did it?" Dixon asked as he slumped slightly against his friend, spilling a bit of beer onto the couch as he moved haphazardly.
Despite all reason for everyone to fuss about Dixon, he'd actually managed to do quite well for himself, or rather, at least when he buckled down for more thorough studying. In fact, he managed to graduate just short of top of the class and got several scholarships for academia and even one for baseball to top it off, which he was hoping to use in the fall when he started college...with Darcy.
Him and Darcy.
It was always him and Darcy and Dixon had hoped, deep down, it would always be him and Darcy. |

| Darcy grunted when he was slumped again and reached over to steady out Dixon's hand with a laugh. "Riiight?" he grinned, reaching to sip at his beer again. "And we botth got a shihht ton of schoolarshhips!" |

| "I know, I m'know! We don't have to pay for noffin! Harp and Griff ain't even gotta worry!" Dixon laughed, flushing slightly as Darcy's hand rested on his in an attempt to steady his shaking. |

| "Yah, that's a biiiig plus." Darcy nodded, removing his hand to reach up and fix his glasses. He would've worn his contacts but he didn't really want to risk losing one. He gave Dixon a wide grin and leaned back against him. "An' we get to shtick together at collehge!" |

"Oof- Dixieeee, shtop." Darcy laughed and reached over to take the beer from him instead, not really wanting to have beer split on HIM.
"So... you guys are like.. a thing right?" One of the girlfriend's of one of the boys on the team asked, from where she was in said boyfriend's lap, looking at Dixon and Darcy curiously.
Darcy blinked, sobering a little at the question and looked at her. "Huh?"
"Well, I mean, you two are always together! And super touchy- you guys are a couple, right?" |

"What? No way, Dixon's waaaaaay too hot to be with Darcy." Another girl snickered from her own perch on the corner of the coffee table, her own boyfriend on his knees in front of her, his head resting in her lap.
Dixon blinked, looking to the girl then before furrowing his brows confusedly.
"Wuh does that mean?" He slurred.
"Oh, nothing, Dixie, just means you're waaaay too hot and out of his league, even if you were gay." She said, petting at her drunk (and passed out) boyfriend's cheek.
"I don't follow." Dixon said then, looking to Darcy.
In his opinion...Darcy was very attractive. He'd filled out nicely and had always had a very nice face. Also, he had a good heart to boot. He was always kind to those deserving, and even those who weren't when he felt it was appropriate. As far as Dixon was concerned, there wasn't one thing to dislike about Darcy. |

Darcy's brows furrowed at the statement, frowning slowly. "Well that's not nice." he said, wondering if it was true. Dixon was very attractive and had the kind've personality that could make anyone smile, in his opinion.
"No way, they're totally a couple." the other girl shook her head and looked at them again. "Right?" |

"Facts are facts, Darcy." The girl shrugged, earning an increasingly sour expression from Dixon.
"If that's the case, then I think the facts state you've got no brain, or you're at least ignorant." Dixon shook his head. "Darce is a handsome guy an' if anyone is too good for anyone, he's too good for meh." Dixon slapped his hand at his chest. "I'd be fuckin' flattered if he wanted to be with me, you know?" |

"I still ain't buying it. I'm gonna need proof." She said.
At that, Dixon looked to Darcy, locking his gaze with his before he staggered up to his swaying feet and offered his hand out to him then.
"Fine." He said. |

"Where's the nearest bedroom?" Dixon asked, pulling Darcy over to his side, wrapping an arm comfortably around his waist.
Despite them not actually being together, Dixon and Darcy had always been comfortable with one another. Actually, more than that, they'd had a few..."litmus tests" so to speak with one another in the way of casual hand touching, fleeting gazes, and even a few tested kisses here and there, so this little bit of touching? Nothing. |

Darcy put his arm around Dixon's middle with no complaint, of course comfortable too. He'd be a liar if he said there wasn't... some sort've feeling for Dixon, deep down.
The girl laughed and pointed towards the stairs. "First door on the left!" |
